3 moNo falt divorce is finally removing the commitment part from women. Along with divorce courts making everything favorable to women getting a divorce... I mean "family courts."
If you're a man... what do you stand to gain? We already know what women stand to gain out of a marriage... it's why they want it so bad.
If I told you "Hey man jump out of this plane and there is a 75% chance your parachute will not work or you can sit this out." That's marriage right now. She's probably going to cheat, take your money, disturb your peace... and marriage isn't going to do anything about any of that for you as a dude... in fact... it might make it worse.

Meanwhile this is how the women end up... I don't blame them for not being all up for marriage either. The ones that are not are probably the better women that I'm not talking shit about here.

Males have NEVER committed to women. The hypocrisy is insane.
All males cheat, and you project instead of taking accountability.
Pure women have nothing to gain from interacting with males. - 3 mo
Imagine beating a woman and then complaining that she's disturbing your peace. Lunacy.
- 3 mo
UwU sombody is triggered. @heruncommonsense I don't blame your rage, but who chooses those guys instead of the dudes ready to do anything for you? Tons of guys that has never done anything wrong hears "All males cheat, and you project instead of taking accountability." and you slowly red pill them about what they're really in for.
They already take the blame for the men you choose. Sad.
They see who cheats on them. Your arguments are falling flat with most. Not all though... plenty of women just like you sleeping with the bad boys and getting cheated on. Not my problem.
- 3 mo
i am a virgin. you are STILL FUCKING PROJECTING. i've never even gone on a date, i'm not choosing any male. i refuse to tolerate the cruel behavior of males, and that's why you hate virgins so much.
"not my problem" yet you expect anyone to give a damn about your problems. LOL. keys - 3 mo
@heruncommonsense So you agree. Nice.
- 3 mo
yes, i fully believe males when you admit that all males are liars, sluts, and sadists, who hate virgins and flock to whores.
- 3 mo
@heruncommonsense Okay, okay calm your tits a little and lets be calm. No need to sound like one is in a state of rage. Because I'm about to say this... women are no different. Litarlly probably worse.
- 3 mo
as always, you are projecting instead of taking accountability.
- 3 mo
@heruncommonsense Oh my gawd typical Karen... accountability for what? Shit you delt with from men you chose? Fuck you and your choices. Fuck you for blaming all men for your choices. Those assholes are the only thing you got for a choice because men like me recognize you and avoid you. Deal with it.
- 3 mo
i am a virgin. STOP PROJECTING. i have never dated anyone. males admit that they are all the same.
- 3 mo
i swear, males can't read.
- 3 mo
@heruncommonsense Reeeeee reeeeeee reeeeee. Tell us how life with you would be so great... go ahead. I haven't fucked or married you and I'm alrady putting up with more bullshit than most men would want to deal with. Why are you so fantastic? How are all these men so bad but you're a virgin? I can read your projecting ass statements. Don''t blame me for not responding to them all.

3 moMen are losing respect for women because they can see sex online or through paid escorts and women are distrusting men because so many men who chase women are fakes, or have lied to them when they were younger and had pure intentions.
Like when my dad was trying to rent out his apartment to others, at least 40% of the people who wanted to rent the place were fakes, or fraudsters, and we have a friend who ended up renting their place to two fakes and fraudsters in a row.
My dad's friend gets so many scammers calling his house, he stopped answering the phone unless you leave a voice message he can call you back at and he recognizes the voice and person and number in the message.

I would like you to explain what kind of value marriage had in society?
Was it that little piece of paper that stated that you have to pay alimony when you separate from your spouse? Is it that lie that people make when they state that they will remain faithful till death? With so many marriages failing because of cheating, what value does that paper have?
I have never been in favor of a marriage. It is an antique concept of the religion that wanted to bind them to the church but that has absolutely no longer a meaning in today's society.

I think that’s a narrow point of view to look at marriage as a piece of paper. People say the same thing about college degrees but there’s a lot more substantive value rather than just having a piece of paper. Having a pubic ceremony in which you pledged loyalty to each other brings social consequences when you break that pledge. When you divorce there are legal consequences to it. That barrier symbolizes loyalty and has certainly restrained me from making the rash decision to leave when it got hard. As it should have. It forced me to work through things and it was for the good. I know a lot of other people can relate.

3 moThe 50-60% divorce rate is an overestimated myth. Divorce rates have actually been steadily declining in Canada and America for decades now. It's still high though, sitting at around a 38-40% divorce rate. So going into a marriage apparently has more than a third chance of failing, which is still a high risk.
The thing is, people don't take their vows seriously. The till death do us part is just words to them. Being "a man of your word" used to have a lot more meaning, but nowadays, everyone just says whatever the heck they want to get their foot through the door.
Approximately 70% of women initiate divorce, and when that happens, men do tend to lose a lot. And because of pattern recognition, men are opting out of it. They don't want to repeat the mistakes of other men.
Would I say marriage is losing value? No. You can't lose what you've already lost.
Are there still hopeless romantics who genuinely want to be married. Yes. I'm one of them.00 Reply
Anonymous(30-35)3 moMarriage itself has not lost any value. The problem is the perception today's men have of marriage. Half of marriages end in divorce, women initiate 80% of them, and men still get screwed in divorce court and child custody.
That will never change until society begins holding women accountable for their actions. But unfortunately I don't see that happening any time soon. Society (and women) blame men and assume divorces are cause by men's bad behavior. While that is true in some cases, it's not in most. Cheating is NOT the primary cause of divorce; studies consistently show a lack of commitment is the #1 reason.
Look up the worldwide statistics on divorce rates among straight, gay and lesbian couples. The lowest rate is among gay couples, the highest rate by far is among lesbian couples, and the rate for straight couples in somewhere in the middle. In other words, the more women there are in a marriage, the higher the likelihood it will end in divorce. Thank about that.
It's worth noting that according to CDC’s National Intimate Partner and Sexual Violence Survey (NISVS), rates of domestic violence are higher among lesbian couples than straight couples.
It's clear women are the primary cause of these things, but society will never acknowledge that, so marriage rates will continue to decline.
00 Reply492 opinions shared on Marriage & Weddings topic. I think that marriage has lost its value completely, at least for men. Women have weaponized not just marriage but also divorce in the sense that when a divorce occurs, women get the absolute majority of the property, the money, the children, and everything else that can be divided in a rational way. Sometimes, even in an irrational way.
As a result of this, men see marriage now as a terrible financial risk for themselves as well as an emotional risk. They just won't do it. That includes me.

m 3 moI can't define what "Today's world" is, because it means 100+ countries I have no idea about. I hardly have an idea about what's going on in my city, so the world is completely out of my league.
I can't define what marriage's value universally is, because I don't see a clear consensus about that. I can only assume it means commitment overall, but I see commitment's going on, in and out of marriage, around me.

3 moMarriage has not lost its value. In many cases the people getting married have lost any sense of values or sacrifice but they have discovered a huge helping of entitlement. It's not the institution that has changed, it's the people. Thanks internet.

Anonymous(25-29)3 moYes it has
There are multiple reasons, emotional baggage from past relationships, financial independence, adultery.
All these issues have created a doubt in everyone's mind that the other one cheats on them.
There there are scams just marrying for the money.
Due to social media everyone wants an ideal partner to begin with in place of settling down with what they got.
So easiest way to have everything with a commitment is staying in a relationship.
Both parties are just mostly emotional hurt.00 ReplyThese might be some factors. The divorce rate on the United States is approximately 50%. Of that 50%, 80% of those divorces are filed by women. That means marriages end 40% of the time because women file divorces. They always blame the husband for the divorce even though they file it. And are not satisfied with separation. They want to eviscerate him as punishment for their bad decision making. It is definitely a sad state of affairs. And women brought this on themselves.

@heruncommonsense the good news is, that any man you are with is going to find you out and you are going to end dying alone
- 3 mo
i don't date. i am fully aware that all males are violent whores, and i'm never going to put up with it.
for males, getting less sex is the worst thing imaginable.
women have to worry about actual problems.
males are incapable of love. all straight women die alone. - 3 mo
@heruncommonsense You don't date? You are doing men a favor.
3 moI think so yes. The reason? I think many are choosing to get married for the wrong reasons: social pressure, doing what is the done thing vs what they want to do or more broadly choosing to get married to fill a void.
35 Reply- 3 mo
Or choosing to be single to keep a void.
- 3 mo
I wouldn't say staying single is keeping a void. Most people choose to stay single because their inner world is enough until the right person comes along. Singledom is not dependence it's independence.
- 3 mo
It's unnatural for women to seek males out. Makes offer nothing, but we are conditioned to think otherwise.

@heruncommonsense Come back in your 30s.

@MereAnarchy males are the ones who demand stacies half their ages. it's hypergamy.

Find someone from a church who really believes in till death do you part and believe it yourself too. That way you can both build a life together. Marriage should always be honoured.

Anonymous(30-35)3 moyes and it's due to secularism
secular marriage makes no sense and is more delusional than religious marriage
even if religion is "delusional" at least they try to buy into it
secularists are "supposed" to be logical and critical free thinkers, follows the facts and not be swayed by "faith" but insist you must have "faith" in your partner even if the facts say otherwise
00 ReplyIt is not losing it's value at all.
It has just become entirely negative value instead of positive value as it once was.
Negative value is still technically value though.

3 moMarriage in many places lost its value when "no fault" divorce was introducted. Now the cheater gets half and even spousal support if he or she is the lower earner. Why take that risk?

marriage takes more of a toll on women than men.
that's why women divorce more than men.
pregnancy, child birth, doing 85% of the child care, housework and working a full time job all at the same time.
while the man only is responsible for working a job and helping out 15% of the time.- 3 mo
