Have you ever been 'Uninvited' from a party or gathering before?

Lol i'd never heard of this concept before, nor had it ever happened to me till recently.

One of my friends was having her 21st and she invited like 2-300 people i think. closer to the date she realised that the cost would be too much so she had to cut it down by about half. so this girl went around 'uninviting' around 150 people hahaha. she apologise of course=]

i said it was ok and everything but idk, i'd feel terrible doing that to someone lol. i wasn't angry or anything. i know that plenty of other people were really annoyed bout it tho haha.

so any similar experiences or is this as unusual as i expect?

Yeah it's happened to me at least once. I was uninvited to my friend's wedding. After we graduated college we kept in touch for a short while, he told me he and his girlfriend were now engaged. He told me the wedding time and location had not yet been sorted out but he'd let me know. I never heard back from him. But other friends within our social circle went to the wedding and had lots of photos. At the time I was rather hurt that he deliberately excluded me without saying. But I moved on from it because if he's gonna be like that, he's not a friend worth keeping.

'uninviting' though scarce does happen even at the most formal parties at the highest levels of even world summits for various reasons that crop up at the last moment.

Her reasoning was justified and it's only natural she was excited because of her 21st birthday & wanted to celebrate with pomp but couldn't happen. at least she mentioned it and had the courtesy of uninviting people rather than them turning up and being disappointed at arrangements not being upto the mark.

Nope I've never been uninvited - yet :-)

When I got my results on a school day, a lot of my classmates decided to have a results day celebration on a field.
I went out and then it started raining.

So a lot of people left and there were about 25 of us left who still wanted to carry on drinking and partying. So we ended up outside one of their houses and the guy went in to ask his parents if we can go to his backgarden. He came back out and said that only 24 people could go round back. A lot of the people voted me out :/ very hurtful at time but I've moved past it :)

Haha um i dont know if this counts but i was kicked out "uninvited" to finish off an exam i had back in school lol In Australia we have school uniforms, and its a policy to wear all school uniform while you attend your exams.. The rebellious teenager i was back then i rocked up in free dress haha (dont ask me why i did that) so i got kucked out and re-invited to come the next day to do my exam.. Such a pain in the ass though.. Hehe oh wells 😏

My great aunt invited me, mom, cousin (my mom was her guardian)
to Christmas Day holiday party well, when she had me in the store
she ask me what are doing for Christmas, I said, Aunt Virginia you
told me we were invited to your house. Well, she made a real mean
funny face in the store.. She didn't think i noticed her face she made
wow i tell you did it make me sad.. All my life this was nothing new
to be hurt by family members.. I swear if i met a girl tomorrow i would
leave this state/ country whatever to make new life for myself it does
hurt like hell when people do that shit to you.. All my life i came across
this stuff my late moms brother well he is decease to but every
Christmas eve he would have parties and I'm family he never invite me
it was always for his Wife's side of the family so I know where your
coming from
