The penny trick in real life?

Suppose a cashier rings up a customer’s $55 worth of groceries, 10 items to be exact. The customer only has $5 available on his card, but the remaining $50 is in 5,000 pennies. The cashier says she has to ask her manager if she’s allowed to take a payment in pennies, which if he says yes, she has to count ALL 5000 pennies. So she asked the manager, and her manager told her “NO, not if the pennies are not rolled up. The cashier tell the customer in sounding embarrassed, “Sorry.” The customer took no for an answer very well. But the problem now is that she says to go on the register and void all $50 worth of groceries, which is 9 out of 10 items that she rang up she spent 3 to 5 minutes leaving the customer with one item worth the $5 on his debit or credit card. And after canceling everything she rang up, she and or her coworkers have to put all the groceries back on the shelves, which must’ve been the most annoying experience she had as a cashier. It’s like the cashier was at the top and fell to rock bottom head first. After a while, when the customer returns to the store to shop, but the cashier is no longer on register most likely being driven away from the register from getting beaten down to her socks. Do you think the customer made the cashier look bad?
