This friend of mine said that to me on Valentine's day, and I was kinda surprised. We've been texting a lot, and like each other but we're long distance. I wasn't expecting him to take note of the fact it was Valentine's because we're not dating, and haven't really talked about dating, other than we'd like to try and see each other during break. To be clear: the guy saying this has also said he likes you.  So if a guy tells "Happy Valentine's Day" to a girl, does that mean he thinks you two are kind of together?
