Single lady here, what does that mean? Is that a step for boyfriend status later on or just a one day fling? I never really understood the whole concept of Valentine's day, I live under a mattress...

It means nothing. Valentine's Day is for children to give attention to others at school. After school, it turns into nothing. No one sends "special secret admirer" baskets to anyone like they do in the movies. It doesn't have any meaning to single people until they get married, when it reappears from thin air as something important.
