1.) Right to genital integrity 2.) Right to vote without agreeing to the selective service part. 3.) Right to choose parenthood 4.) Right to be assumed caregivers for children 5.) Right to call regretted sex, rape.
"You don't believe women are equal to men? " No, I don't. Women do not have penises. On the average, their height, strength, etc., is quite different from men. So they are not equal. but they should have equal rights opportunities, etc. as I said.
Sorry to butt in :) But: Less in what? you are being very vague.. If you mean "being a lesser being" then ofc not. In terms of Biology men and women are not the same... definetly. But in terms of Social behaviour both men and women can be compared.. still does not change the fact that we are not the same.. we don't work the same but similar. SO: the statements "women are equal to men", "men are more than women" and "women are more than men" can't be applied.. BUT we can aspire equality and we will never reach it.
As person below said it should be called equalism ^^ but anyway I didn't even know such a thing exists! My town seems to think girls are just here for housework (Which is why I plan on moving ASAP) I think its amazing that people even care! You sound like the wise guy who always gives out good advice! Respect (Also from a girl who lives beside 6 crazy uncles a wise man is cherished :P
I believe in gender equality, not feminism. People can pull up dictionary definitions all they want, but until feminism actually starts doing something for men and stop suppressing men's issues, it will remain a gynocentric thing.
When you have part of a building sagging, you shore up the support on the sagging part to bring it up with the rest. You do not raise up the part that is already higher as then you will not even it out. Feminists are trying to bring up the shortcomings in gender equality so put their effort where it is most needed. Just as doctors do not treat well people, and gynecologists do not treat men, feminists concentrate on where they are needed.
@Red_Arrow if you think men are more privileged than women in Western countries, then you are sorely mistaken. They both have their advantages and disadvantages. Focusing purely on women is just silly, in either case.
You think men are more privileged? Try saying that again once you're behind bars, because a vengeful woman falsely cried rape against you. Same thing happened with Tyler Kost.
Men's issues simply don't get as much attention. Stop confusing that with "men have no issues".
I certainly never said "men have no issues". Not sure what you are getting at. As for men having no privileges, recent new stories have highlighted several colleges "investigating" campus rape cases instead of turning them over to law enforcement and giving the perpetrator a slap on the wrist. Publicity is what is getting that changed, and it is the feminists who are making the noise to get justice for the victims. And that is all in western countries.
@Marstalk first of all, do you have anything more recent? Some of those examples are from the 70's, not third wave feminism at all. Secondly, there aren't that many examples. They're essentially saying "we're eliminating toxic masculinity", but that doesn't actually mean anything. The fact that they've "ended" sexual violence is also completely false.
@Marstalk to elaborate on what I said earlier, they still haven't done anything to make a woman forcing a man to penetrate her actually count as rape (and why shouldn't it count? It's forced sex).
@Marstalk I'm talking about feminists, and there are plenty of male feminists as well. The gender isn't the issue here, it's what the feminism movement is doing for men.
I have no use for feminazis. But the problem I see is that there are many people who are so hateful of the idea of women having equal opportunity, that they intentionally label every person trying to gain that equality for women a feminazi. And many people are easily led and repeat what they are told, no matter how illogical. Thanks for your reading and input.
Right, I have nothing against women's right, equal pay, job opportunities but what I'm talking about in regards to feminazis are the ones who act like because they're a woman they can do whatever they want without any consequences and them being a woman means they're above any judgment and if a guy complains they're automatically sexist or misognystic. Said people also hold guys to their gender roles while nothing applies to them.
"If you are anti feminist, you are against women doctors"
Nope, not true. An egalitarian is a person who supports equal treatment of the sexes, which means no special grants or treatment for women going through medical school, they will meet the same standards as men and if they can do that, they can work the same job, that is called being even handed and fair.
I am anti-feminist, because feminism as far as I can tell means not giving a rats shit about children and being selfish instead.
The goal of feminism isn't bad. But how they try achieve it bothers me. Boys are being taught that it's not okay to be male. Self esteem in men has gone down. The media glorifies women, while men are suffering. Masculinity is not toxic. It's a result of bad people.

You reveal your age. Feminism has changed from the ancient form you cite in your myTake.
Feminism has evolved, and many other thoughts have entered into the movement, but the idea of feminism is still to gain equality (in rights, opportunities, etc.) for women where it does not exist now. Some people have adulterated that movement, but at the core it is still for that purpose.
Ok seriously? You can't call that research if you just keep using wikipedia. That's not an academic source at all.
I care for equality amongst men and women and I'm certainly not a feminist and I'd appreciate it if you didn't try to slap that identity on me like Nazi's slapped the star of david on jews against their will.(If you don't want me to make comparisons to the Nazi's then stop copying their habits)
*Says feminism is good douses self in kerosine due to lack of self esteem. Is Feminism A Bad Thing?
Yes, Feminism is sexual discrimination though legislation. It's unjust in it's core values, and based on lies and manipulation. Wikipedia's definition is wrong, at least renegading modern feminism.
Men and women should have equal rights by law, but feminism tries to introduce new discriminatory law, putting women in power.
Are Feminists Evil?
Yes, like Communism, nationalism and Islamism it's evil in the very core of political ideology.
Good, and thank you. After so long with no responses at all I got your opinion and another woman's today. Probably because it is in the banner at the top "The Best of 2015". Her opinion is that feminism IS a bad thing and that feminists ARE evil.
I did see this because of the advertisement. Oh jeez, haha, yea, I better go to my evil meeting, we're planning to kill all men this week, it's the same plan every week.
Yeah feminism is a bad thing. I'm not better than a man and I don't need special rights that men don't have. Men are awesome for the most part and the hating needs to stop.
Throughout American history, the right to vote has been given to women then taken back. The first law explicitly giving women the right to vote was in the territory of Wyoming in 1869. Utah passed a similar law in 1870, but the Utah women were disenfranchised by US law in 1887. President Wilson was against women's rights but changed his position because he needed women's backing for the support going into WWI. It was in 1920, less than a hundred years ago and after over a hundred years of "feminists" fighting for the right to vote, that congress approved a law guaranteeing them the vote. There were still attempts by states to limit voting by women by some states and feminists fought those. If not for all that long fighting by feminists, you would not have the right to vote. Do you think that your right to vote, gained by feminists, is a special right that men do not have?
Outside the US, in Saudi Arabia women were first allowed to vote and run for office in 2015. Just the past year!!
The "hating" was what held things back for so long, not the feminists wanting to have the same rights. Now there are many other kinds of being held back that they are fighting. And still the haters want them held back. so what is the REAL bad thing? Wanting equal rights and treatment, or denying that to women?
You have just proved my point! Feminism is NOT a bad thing. It is those opposed to it who have lied about what it is and turned people against it. True feminism is a good thing by your won words, but it is the people who do not want women to have equal rights who have poisoned the word (not the cause) to the point that even you said feminism is a bad thing.
That makes as much sense as saying that people dying of brain cancer brought it on themselves. It has been the misogynists and the Faux News propagandists and the Rush Limbaugh wannabies who have been telling the lies. Are all feminists perfect? No. Are some even over the top by a long way? Yes. But the majority just want to be treated equally. Read the opinions of those who identify themselves as feminists on this myTake. Most are good, honest people just asking for equal treatment, not somebody who does not know what they are talking about coming on here and calling them liars, troublemakers, Nazis, etc.
Thank you, but I think you said much of what I said in a better way and added a lot more. I definitely appreciated your myTake. Thank you for your kind words. :-)

Notice that feminism does not proclaim the women are equal to men. It states that women have equal rights. I don’t see anything bad in that!
You don't believe women are equal to men?
I agree!! People are so close minded. They think it's a man hating group! Ugh!
When will you learn people! - pulls hair in frustration-
Yet women have rights men do not, explain that away.
@CorruptedDocument : this is the most silliest thing I've heard today.
Then tell me how I'm wrong.
I'll just leave these here.
1.) Right to genital integrity
2.) Right to vote without agreeing to the selective service part.
3.) Right to choose parenthood
4.) Right to be assumed caregivers for children
5.) Right to call regretted sex, rape.
Number 5 shows what kind of person you are. @zell0is0my0name you shouldn't have wasted your time with him
What? Why would i call regretted rape sex? I've never done that, girl @ConfusedGrocer
*regretted sex rape*
Number 5 shows what kind of person you are.
That was for the guy, not you @zell0is0my0name
Oh, okay :)

Well, men don't have vaginas either. Let me ask this way: Do you think women are less than men?

Not sure for the argument about rape as there are plenty of males as well who believe that men can not be raped.
@Marstalk I'm talking about feminists, and there are plenty of male feminists as well. The gender isn't the issue here, it's what the feminism movement is doing for men.
Feminism isn't a bad thing.
Its the hypocritical individual interpretations and actions that frequently are
Yes, but how do you distinguished when Feminism is use or abused as a political ideology, advocateing for discriminatory laws in both the US and EU?
That task sadly falls on local government representatives + senates + cabinets that don't necessarily reflect overall public opinion.
Feminists aren't the issue, feminazis are. And no, not all feminists are feminazis
I have no use for feminazis. "'They' can be singular, language evolves deal with it!!!"
"This is the definition of feminism, definitions don't change!!!"
That said I do support them because I know they will soon bring about a gender based civil war and in their hubris end up subjugated.
I'm very happy to see that there are feminists on this site, most of my encounters with users ended badly when I brought up feminism
Unfortunately they could end up the same way here. A lot of hatred and twisted "facts" on here.

Why are you so awesome? You're speaking to me with this MyTake.
Do you mean that you think this way, also? I am getting a lot of hate from some people. lol.
I'm spewing nothing but positiveness. I agree.

Thanks, it was great getting to know you too.
@Red_Arrow you are the man :) And I'm the woman, and you see things exactly how a feminist woman wants others to see her. Thank you.
You are very welcome! Glad that my thoughts on the topic are shared by you. Thank you for your opinion. :-)

Just call it somethin else because the word feminism has been poisoned by the man haters. Sorry but true.

Anyway, wonderful myTake @Red_Arrow. :)
Thank you, but I think you said much of what I said in a better way and added a lot more. I definitely appreciated your myTake. Thank you for your kind words. :-)
Fantastic MyTake, of course feminism is not evil, but there are some extremes in any group or movement in the world.
