    Fantastic MyTake, of course feminism is not evil, but there are some extremes in any group or movement in the world.

    Not sure if all of them are deliberately evil; but the ones that I've had to deal with on DeviantArt sure fit the bill.

      It would mean a lot to give women some even power. My mother might have had some money and some I wouldn't be as poor.

      How many brilliant ideas have you had? How well did you implement them? How reliable of connections have you had in life? Waiting for handouts is not a very good way to live. It's unreliable, the handout givers are often two-faced, and even if you get a little, you're still gonna always be miserable. But I know how frustrating it is. When you earn wealth, someone's always there to rob you outright or tax you penniless.

      Pat Robertson in the poster above verifiably gets the first two of his list spot-on. The latter two are less common. The practicing witchcraft part? That I'm not so sure can be blamed directly on feminism.

      What I know is the opposite. Look at www.girlsaskguys.com/.../a10748-the-sexy-feminist The author is not hateful or nasty or rude. And she is definitely a feminist. Several feminists have written opinions and comments here, and they are angry at the BS directed at them, but still most remaing calm and respectful. Not at all as you try to portray them!

      @Red_Arrow

      @Ozanne may not be hateful or nasty or rude and still call herself a feminist.

      But that doesn't change how the political movement of modern feminism acts and tries to lobby legislators to introduce discriminatory laws. Or how some prominent feminists clearly show hateful, nasty and rude behavior.

      So who represents modern feminism, the many women who claims to be feminist but does nothing, or the many political active women who also claims to be feminist but advocates hateful, nasty and rude legislation?

      Thank you @Red_Arrow
      @oracle12c So, herein lies the problem. I have things I need to do in my life that have nothing to do with feminism. I probably could go out there and do something, proving that normal people can be feminists without causing such a stir, but I'm busy. But now that I think about it, being busy and having feminism be the last thing I talk about with people in my day to day life - who know I'm a feminist - makes the point clear in some passive way that a feminist really isn't that bad. Plenty of women out there are feminists and never wear it like a badge the way some extremists do.

      @Ozanne

      Sure than kind of feminism is ok, but modern feminism is more a political ideology lobbying legislative changes for putting women in more power positions.

      In essence, they wan't discriminatory laws, they claim in order to achieve equality, however what they really want it to put privileged white women in more privileged positions, by discriminating privileged white men.

      It really doesn't address the many real women's issues world wide, nor men's issues in the US or EU.

      Is it equality to have male conscription but not female? No, but then again nobody cares about equality because it's not really about equality, it's all about power and privileges.

    Your definition notwithstanding, a lot of people who call themselves "feminist" do not remotely resemble this definition. That is why I use the term "equality feminists" to describe those with whom I have no issue.

    I don't support feminism. I think a group should pay attention to the needs of everyone. Not just focusing on one group and fixing their own problems. That seems selfish to me and creates a barrier. Egalitarianism is way better.

      At least argue your point instead of making a pointless comment. I rarely hear smart counterpoints. All I hear is you are stupid, or only a guy would think that among other things. Rarely ever do I hear something to prove their point. All they do is attack a person who disagrees

      So you believe firemen should investigate murders, gynecologists should perform brain surgery, and janitors should analyze mental patients, because those groups should pay attention to the needs of everyone? No! Firemen focus on fighting fires, while police investigate murders. And so forth. Those people have chosen what they will concentrate on and it is good that they concentrate on that area, not everything at once. that is not selfish, that is putting a concentrated effort to what you can do best.

      If feminism was for equality of both then feminists would be looking to fix the preferences that women receive in divorce! But they dont, because they aren't about equality.

      You are the one attacking feminists. Then if they tell you they are not anti-male, you say they are lying. And being anon allows you to attack others anonymously, which you just proved. And you have shown that it is YOU who likes to attack people when you do not like their thoughts, opinions, etc.

      I have a contrary opinion, as do many others. The spectrum of who is a feminist is extremely broad and many of them are very anti-male. The word "feminism" has some very obvious negative connotations and you won't be able to fix that with a mytake. The word is damaged and irrepairable.

      True genuilinysensitive. Even the author knows it otherwise he would not have asked the Question as "Is Feminism A Bad Thing? Are Feminists Evil?". Hypocritical of him to ask only to shout down those that answer honestly. Even he knows how people feel given the title.

      As most people know, questions are posed in titles to draw attention to the topic by raising a question to think about. Sane people would not equate that to me believing it. And I do know how SOME people feel, which is why I chose to write this myTake, to try and educate them about the actual feminist movement, not what has been taken over by extremists. Nothing at all hypocritical about that at all. And I am not shouting down anyone. I am merely responding, which is normal. I think you are aware of that and are intentionally making untrue statements to sway opinion, rather than you really believe those things which or ridiculous.
      Are cops irreparable because some cops are bad? Or doctors? Or any group? I think there are many areas that need more equality, and someone trying to right those things would be a feminist. Are you then calling that person, bad?
