Have you ever seen someone with a really odd pet, one you wouldn't even imagine someone would
own? Here are the five most unique exotic pets. The best part is, you might be able to keep one of these amazing creatures depending on your location, or if you have special licenses.
1. Fox
Okay, foxes are my favorite animal, but these animals are more than that. With a beautiful orange coat and tail fading to black with a tiny splash of white and brilliant hazel eyes, foxes can and are purchased as pets. Of course, it depends on where you live and so on, but foxes are cool pets! They like to run around, so they need a lot of exercise and many things to do. They also dislike heat and take hours and hours out of your day to take care of. From what I've seen they're rather doglike, but they walk around like a cat. They are omnivores, eating basically the same things as a dog would. They could even get along with dogs (though maybe not small ones)!
2. Skunks
Surprisingly, a pet skunk might not stink up the house as much as you would think. They can get their scent glands removed as to make it impossible for them to spray. These animals waddle quite distinctly and do require weeks of research beforehand. They are also omnivores, and their coat feels quite wiry. They also tend to be nocturnal. Still, how cool would it be to say you have a pet skunk? Just look at this happy lady with her unusual pet!

3. Monkeys
Yes, even monkeys can make cool pets! They are said to be rather loud and annoying as well as expensive, but it is still a cool idea. As a matter of fact, the monkey itself could be $4,000! "Finger monkeys", real name marmoset monkeys, are tiny enough to hold onto your finger as if it was a branch!

4. Sharks
Pet sharks are available at any pet store that sells fish. Crazy, huh? Well, not so much once you consider they are only an inch big. The fish depicted below, called a Bala shark, is actually a minnow, but hey, you do have a very cool fish! They are reportedly good with community fish but do have an extremely violent side to them. Better to keep your hands out of the water, huh?

5. Last but not least, we have the macaw.
These beautiful tropical birds have entered the pet tree years ago illegally, but are slowly making a comeback. These beautifully colored birds live a crazily long lifespan- an average of 80 years, and often over 100! This is truly a lifelong pet.
