Trust me Im from the opposite, I usually have family member pinching my arm or thighs and asking me to 'get thin' and I find it annoying. I've always wanted to be skinny, I feel like clothes fit much better and I find it impossible to wear jeans because I have short, fat legs. So maybe the people who shame you are the same ones who envy you.
As a teen and while in the military I was ridiculed for being skinny, even though I was stronger than most of my peers. Now I have gained weight and people still try to shame me. I've learned that I don't give a damn as long as I am happy with myself.

People who are fat or skinny dont have to worry about anything lol, everyone have chance to workout but still its ur life lol, people were calling me skinny and small , i was always weakest one , but since i started working out im god to them, like 10 times stronger and bigger and noone would say that to me anymore, and also there is people who think like oh he? not possible that he gained 30kg in 1year, he must be on steroids or lies and photoshop haha, its funny how jealous everyone is. And from my personal expirience i think that noone should be ashamed of how they look, that people are worst who judge other :)
I've had to say this to someone before and I'll say it again. "Does bacteria dislike us when we wash our hands with soap. I don't care and neither should you."
Why are you getting asshurt because inferior people are basically telling you that you're above them? I don't get it. -_-
I'm naturally skinny... I've aten a box of donuts (12 of them) and didn't gain a single pound. Either my body doesn't absorb or it just metabolizes I just can't gain the weight.
But if you think being a skinny girl sucks, try being a skinny guy... we have it just as bad as obese girls.
@UnaKaizen You have to remember, those 12 donuts are not the only thing I've ate throughout the day. I add butter to my soups, I drink whole milk, I buy the full fat Ben and Jerry's etc. Nothing sticks.
sure, ok you ate 12 donuts on top but they dont equal a pound. you shouldn't gain weight on what you usually eat and the donuts were not a pound worth of food. so you wouldn't gain a pound.
by the way how tall & what do you weigh. i think skinny is hot. so im not seeing the negativity here ;)
@UnaKaizen No...12 donuts will not equal a pound... but I've eaten about 3-4 lbs. of food a day for years and nothing happens. I'm 5'11.5" and 125... incredibly scrawny. My goal is to hit 135 by summer... some way, some how.
everyone eats 5-10 pounds a day in food water but this is not the same as adding a pound of flesh. food is mostly water so eight fluctuates several pounds in a day. Unless you meant you eat 35,000 calories a day for years.
You are pretty thin but its edgy. You could work it. You could always model ;) also if you eat enough & dont gain im not sure why you try so hard? Why not just accept your thinness and be glad you're not having knee problems or sleep apnea or at risk for heart attack or stroke like many people. Embrace the positive?
@UnaKaizen It's different for a guy. I've always struggled accepting being skinny. So there are two ways about it: either accept it or try to change it. I think for me, I didn't exercise enough and I just need to gain muscle. Ideally my weight is like 165, but I know I'll never hit that weight... so 150 will be my eventual goal. Keeping it is another issue. I've seen guys hit over 200, but it was so expensive and hard to maintain that they fell back down.
skinny women try gaining as well. i dont get that either. I don't know i just think humans are better off lighter. you live longer its less stress on the body and its more efficient & less wasteful. eating just to gain weight when you are perfectly healthy,. just seems excessive.
@UnaKaizen True... but I feel like being so skinny is not good. Besides, skinny people can have diabetes, heart disease, etc. as well. Yes, we do have fewer cells to deal with but I think for me just to be a bit more bigger would be good for my overall physical image (and yes, I do care about how I look).
Hundreds of years ago, people who were reallyyyy big (what we’d consider “overweight” today) were praised. Early 1990’s started to be curvy girls that were admired, then as years went by, skinnier people were being praised. In 2016 and 2017, girls who were “thicc” were like goddesses or something. Now in 2018, it’s gettig to be the “toned” and “fit” bodies that are being praised
I think it’s stupid, you can’t change your frame size. Plus, like you said, it’s your genetics
Society will grab onto anything, hold onto it, and then wave it in people’s faces saying “this is the NEW trend, if you don’t fit it, screw you cuz you’re ugly as fvck then”. Plus, it’s like society is a huge celebrity. Whoever/whatever it brings up, its “fanbase” attacks those people/things
Oh my word finally someone putting my thoughts into words! I'm not skinny because I starve myself, I was just born that way and there are many girls like me. So why is it ok to call us ugly and skinny but as soon as you call a large person 'fat' it's a hate crime and body shaming? Talk about a major double standard!! Us 'skinny bitches' have feelings too!
Okay, so I've seen this quote saying "Real girls have curves" Like in those four simple words they can really hurt. Like real girls are people who realize, that all people are beautiful, just really great humans, im super skinny myself and I can relate to everything your saying.
I haven't been shamed for being thin but I don't like it when people tell me to eat more to fill out a bit. I'm happy with my body as it is, mostly anyway, and just because I might be different from you or anyone else is no reason for shaming either way.

I was made fun of for being skinny with small boobs, and it hurts when I see someone get treated the same way. I think that everyone's body type gets made fun of sometime in their lives, and it's a sad reality. I wish that everyone could feel secure in their bodies.
Yes they are but i don't think it's on the same level as non skinny people. Being skinny is still praised in the media and society versus not being skinny. And I've seen what people say and how they treat fat or overweight people and it's disgusting, some people can just be down right foul to people who are overweight and I think this has resulted in anger against skinny or average weight people as well as the media.
People should not shame people at all but you gotta remmber one thing. It's not the same. For one girl that is skinny shamed there are 100 girls that are fat shamed. A guy did not want to date you since you are too skinny? There are at least 50 times more guys that will not date her since she is fat. No one has the right to shame you for your body type but you have to remmber its not the same.
Sure... but never or barely ever by media... (Anorexic - yes... skinny - not really...) Also, you know it's because of jealousy... Just like shaming fat people is because the shamer has some deep-seeded problems of their own... not becaus of the actual body mass of the person they're making fun of... It's all psychology.
You're absolutely right. I've always been chubby, so I never thought that thin people could be insecure about their bodies or have it be criticised. Then I met my best friend, who is very thin, and her body is her single biggest insecurity. If anyone ever says anything like "wow you're too skinny" or "do you ever eat?" she bursts into tears.
Say this to your self as skinny, fat, medium or what ever say it out loud to your self I WILL BE WHAT I WANT TO BE. Skinny people trying to be more skinny while ignoring their health problems, fat people does the same by eating more than they should, there is something people are missing that not to give a fuck about what others think. When are we gonna talk about those who workout 7 days a week and never train legs ;) they are by far worst kinda of people on earth in my opinion
That's society. If you are skinny, you are shamed. If you are curvy you are shamed. If you are normal weight you are shamed.
The next time someone tells you you are skinny just give them what they deserve and don't let them walk over you. As long as you are healthy, you shouldn't be worried about your weight.
Everyone has different preferences. I always thought that I preferred athletic and thin women, but I also like curves too. I find each body type attractive for their own reasons. The only type I am not attracted to is very chubby or "skinny fat" women. However, if a chubby or fat woman carries her weight well, I may still be attractive. Never say never right?
One of my friends was always telling me that girl i had crush on was too skinny, no curves... ugly... I actually find her attractive cause of among her personality cause of her fit look. I like skinny girls but its weird to see some males around me disliking it. I was always thinking that all of us have the same opinion of beauty, but it looks like that different people have different tastes. Someone like apple, someone banana, someone watermelon...
I've been called anorexic 100 times. I bloody eat every 30 minutes minutes. My ex boyfriend used to tell me I was too skinny and he wanted me to be 'thicker'. He used to send me photos of girls he wanted me to look like, no way was I going to look like that for him, they weren't even curvy anymore, just fat. He was the ugliest guy and his model girlfriend wasn't good enough. 😂
fk that guy, no guy who cares should tell ya what you should or shouldn't look like. Now, being concerned for one's health is something else, such as if someone lost a bunch of weight or gained a bunch of weight due to them living an unhealthy lifestyle.
People are always going to bitch. About EVERYTHING and ANYTHING. You can't avoid it, so it's not worth trying to avoid. Just find what you like and find people you like and it's all good. There are PLENTY of guys that find fit, thin girls incredibly hot. In fact, probably most of us do. It's true some T&A also, helps, but it's not the be all and end all for everyone. And yes--other girls who feel they don't measure up will feel jealous and throw shade. It's part of the game.

thats only 2,500 calories. why would you gain a pound? A pound is more calories than that.

It’s called evolution of society
Hundreds of years ago, people who were reallyyyy big (what we’d consider “overweight” today) were praised. Fit and curvy bodies are considered the most desirable today
