True Genuine Happiness!

Happiness is either a feeling or a state of mind. We can call that feeling ecstasy, it comes and goes, it depends on the circumstances; people, situations and materialistic things. The purpose of many people is this type of happiness, they spend all there lives searching for that feeling, and when they find it somewhere, they get too attached which most of the time leads to more pain than joy, because with time we get used to everything and get bored, as it's no longer providing that ecstasy it used to provide, which leads us to seek change again to feel happy, and it gets difficult with time to escape the comfort zone to search for happiness, and it becomes harder to find it as we grow, which leads to disappointment and feeling lost. We become addicted to that feeling that we forget who we're without it. This is why making the feeling of happiness a purpose could be very dangerous to any human being.

On the bright side, the other type of happiness which is the state of mind, is much more valuable. This type of happiness isn't easy to truly and completely achieve, because it requires giving up on the first type of happiness. You can't do that until you're able to beat your selfish desires, and your ego, which allows you to be peaceful, as it purifies you from all the hate, thus enables you to see things for what they really are, not as yourselves narrow perspective, you become more fair, understanding and more capable of forgiving, as you're no longer very consumed by yourself and its egoistic desires, which originates your inner peace as it's the start of the mental state of happiness. Once that inner peace is achieved, you become more free and capable of gratitude, and enjoy the little details of life that one wouldn't normally enjoy, which should make you more motivated and capable of being the best version of yourself, and leads to attracting better opportunities with time, and most of all be content and fulfilled, which is the state of mind of true happiness. Of course all this requires a very high level of wisdom to be achieved as it's quite extreme, I mean we're only humans after all, but we can achieve some of it by at least understanding the true purpose and trying.

What we need to understand is that the feeling of happiness is a very strong desire of the self, and like any other selfish desire it's impossible to permanently fulfill. So you need to free your being from yourself to achieve true happiness. Of course that's almost impossible, but trying isn't, and it makes a huge difference, once you achieve some control over yourself you become more free to be happy whenever you want, rather than being dependent on the circumstances.

Hope that was convincing enough, thanks for reading!
