Hey guys! So I thought i'd write up a take like this since everyone's doing it. I guess only certain people were nominated for the challenge but to hell with it *shrugs*.
1. I'm a morbid bitch.
I've always been fascinated with the many theories about the afterlife. I've read about a lot of religions, witchcraft, paranormal stories from people, etc. Whether or not you believe in the afterlife and paranormal stuff, I've had freaky experiences. Me and my mom both share it, along with one of my guy friends . I'll give some examples. So one time we kept experiencing weird things, like things in the house going missing and reappearing in unsuspecting places and I saw our attic door crack open by itself (its a trap door in the ceiling that has to be pulled hard to open). sometimes at the corner of my eye I would see what would look like a figure wearing black and with a hat.
I never told my mom but a week later she came to me saying that she saw a guy standing in her bedroom at the end of the bed and his description matched. When she saw him it took 5 seconds for him to disappear. My guy friend works in music, he was the one I was going to be in a band with. He is supposedly a psychic from the stuff he's told me about with things he's experienced in his life. Literally a few days ago he told me that my dad drives an old green Ford truck and wears a blue baseball cap all the time. I've never met this guy in person, and I've never told him a thing about my dad before. How the hell would he know about my dad like that? He lives a state away from me and has never been to my state. I know probably your thinking im making shit up but I would never kid around about that shit. Seriously.
2. My dad is my biggest musical inspiration.
I have many musical heroes. Cliff Burton, Lemmy Kilmister, Paul Baloff, Scott Ian, Randy Rhoads, Marilyn Manson, Per "Dead" Ohlin, Sean Yseult, Dave Mustaine, Rob Zombie, and so much more! But my dad is my biggest over any other. I've always said that metal is in my blood, cause even when my mom was pregnant with me she put headphones on her stomach and played metal stuff that I still listen to now. My dad added the fuel to the musical fire in my early life from being in a band. I can't remember the name of it but he played drums and sang, and boy is he one hell of a drummer. He plays guitar too. In the early 90s he was known to be a crazy rocker and dated my thrash metal momma.
The final band he was in he just did singing and occasional guitar playing. He once took me to a friend's at-home studio to see the band record. He always told me that if I was interested in music that he was willing to help me out in any way possible. He ended up buying me the guitars and stuff I have now, and though im mainly self taught he taught me some stuff and we like to crank things up and jam out together in the basement of the house. Me on guitar, him on drums. Sadly arthritis hinders his playing a good bit so its more on occasion these days that we work on music together. Either way he still gives me motivation and the inspiration I need.
3. I keep getting called a "scenie" or "poser" by people on this site.
I don't know how that is. In person people tell me I look like an 80s thrasher. I have the same style like this guy
and NOT this girl.
I even got called a scenie for owning a damn Metallica shirt. Even if Metallica is considered sucky by most people these days, REMEMBER the thrash era???? That band has been a lot of things over the years of course. I normally don't care what people think of me but trust me its surely annoying how I get called a poser or scenie. Usually the poser part comes from me loving old metal. I wonder how that's poser when those bands were the original metal stuff! Especially when the history of so many bands is engraved to my brain. Believe it or not I do know some newer metal bands that are damn good too.
4. I SUCK at school.
Some people already know this. But I'm a sucky learner in general. Even learning songs on guitar takes a long time for me. School wise I've failed plenty, and its not that I don't try. I easily get overwhelmed. My brain goes into panic mode and burns out. I was supposed to graduate in may but I couldn't because I failed most of my shit. Now I'm trying to make up for it. And being in an online school my mom is right there with me helping out. It helps, and I'm doing a bit better, but its still very difficult and time consuming. Even the school we are in sucks really bad, a lot of students and parents complain. When I'm done with high school I'm going to take a year long break before possibly going for any other education. Probably would get a job and put a band together.
5. I ain't tech savvy.
Yup. I feel like the only 18 year old that doesn't have her face glued to a phone. I mainly use the computer for school and whenever I go here, and of course youtube. Hell I don't even talk on the phone much. It isn't that im very antisocial, but really. This is my only social media.To me technology has both good and evil to it trust me.
