there's no such thing as "true" love, "true" christianity, "true" frienship, a "true" man or a "true" woman and whatever else you can come up with.

something can only be "true" if it is directly opposed to something "untrue". so it can work in the case of branding. like a "true" macdonalds burger is only that burger which was made by mc donalds or a "true" iphone can only be made by apple. this is the only case where it makes sense. when it's known what is untrue.

otherwise you're just adding confusion to whatever it is you're talking about, cause nobody knows what "true" is supposed to be opposed of.

what do you mean by "true"? chances are you don't even know.

so you're talking about love, christianity or gender. what does true mean? it means nothing. those are very vague terms that people connect with different subjective meaning and have very individual opinions about. by adding the prefix "true" to a word, chances are you don't know what you're talking about... but even if you do, the word "true" doesn't convey any additional meaning to other people that would help clear things up, cause "true" in those cases is different for everyone.

so next time you wanna elaborate on a concept, don't use that "true" bullshit. either elaborate and make crystal clear what you mean by defining "love, christianity or whatever you were talking about" so you can take responsibility for what you just said and stop dodging cirticism by claiming "others don't know what you mean". obviously they don't know, cause you explained nothing by putting "true" in front of the word.

be precise in what you say and don't talk bullshit. that helps yourself and everyone around you.

Exactly like you are doing, as your definitions of "true" and "unrue" are based upon your own subjective definitions of the aforementioned terms as being "vague" which not one of them is to me, subjectively..

Truth can be changed and too subjectively. so when people use it. I always ask for facts and credible references.

If I said I loved someone, that does not mean it is true, there are different levels of love, a true love is one which can not be broken, I've loved former girlfriends but that love has faded, true love would mean I still love them, is that long winded enough for you luv

ok there are two different things here.
1: evidently your definition of "true" love is love that lasts versus love that doesn't last. that perfectly shows what i meant all along. to me or any other person you tell this, it is not at all clear that by "true" you mean "lasting". so why not call it "lasting love" instead of "true love", by that you have clarified what you mean.

2: in this case "ture love" or more precisely "lasting love" is always a hindsight acknowledgement and can not exist, cause you don't know the future. you might end up separating in the future so you never know if it is true love. however i can of course understand it's use when you're talking about things you wish for. you'd still have to make the clarification though, not just call it "true" without anybody knowing what you mean by that.

you wouldn't believe how many arguments this little inaccuracy causes. it is a bad communication habit that many people have and as a result of such failure to articulate properly, huge arguments emerge, cause people just take for granted that everyone knows what they mean but actually they mean different things and can never reach any common grounds, cause what they talk about has never been elaborated on and they never notice they're talking about completely different things using similar or the same words.

if you only start looking for it, you will find that many arguments around you where people get super angry all just based on this trivial mistake of neglecting to make sure everyone is talking about the same thing.

You're looking for an argument where there is none, what you've just said is true in some cases but there's no bad interpretation of true love, even if the interpretation is different, it holds the same sentiment with both stating the deepness of love or pureness of it, true, unlike other phrases cannot start arguments, unless of course it is this exact one

true can never be an exact word, as different points of view define truth differently.
