We were made tougher lol. But what is funny, it is those 80s kids that are the parents now, that now complain and are butt hurt on everything. What happened to these 80d kids today?
I think most people were happier in the 80s than the 90s, I think things started to get a bit too serious in the 90s.

I have nephews now, so I'd be THE last person to be like we should go back to the 80s with no seatbelt laws, but I do think some stuff is just so out of hand like if one kid has an allergy, none of the kids can bring anything to school ever with peanuts in it. In the words of this comedian, "in the 80s if someone had allergies to something, they just died, and no one said anything, and everyone else went on with their lives"
I grew up during the 60's through the mid 70's. Things were way more relaxed and kids were allowed to be kids. As long as I made it home for supper every night during the summer and on weekends, I pretty much did what I wanted.
It was hands on. No virtual world then. I turned out great. I was a kid in the 1980's. No school shootings. No guns in class. 2 + 2 = 4 , unlike today. No attention disorders (aka kid control) .

Because now people cry if you call them the wrong pronoun.
Because now people's feelings get hurt if you oppose their idea.

It taught us to be smart, that's why the younger generations are so stupid lol
This in part must be due to American litigious culture. Your arse will be sued if you so much as break wind in the wrong direction.
So what you're saying is most kids nowadays are pussies, I couldn't agree more. Loved reading your takes And every one of them was 100% true

How did the adults survive? All the cocaine and drinking and aids couldn't have been too great
All those things still exist now, except add "pandemic" to the list for everybody.

Actually The Dead Kennedys got me through it.

I don't know anything about the 80's but I love the fashion^^
I grew up with all those things you mentioned. I survived just barely though.

Because it was a MUCH better decade than this one!!
That wouldn’t happen at my school so I don't know what kind of school she’s at but my principal is not having that bs.
There are still plenty of semi-rural areas out there where much of this still takes place and noone dies.
I've done most of these things and I'm a teen. It all depends on how your parents raise you and where you live
Ha ha ha, and you could only go away from the phone unless you had a long phone cord on the rotary dial phone.😎
The 80s didn't kill most of us because we weren't the pathetic snowflakes that infest the schools today.
Lol millennials are the ones being super woke
