When I worked at a restaurant, the rudest of customers came out on nights when we were extremely busy. I used to go to the back of the kitchen yapping my jaws out of frustration because of how bold people are to other folks who were handling their food. I really don't have a clue as to why people are like that. I bet if people actually took the time out and thought to themselves, "oh shit, wait a minute, they're bringing me my food," before speaking... rude customers wouldn't be a problem.

I hated working fast food. I was the rudest employee, I would snap back lol. I was like they don't pay me $6/hr to take y'all bullshit and the customers would always tell them to fire me but it never happened bc my supervisor had a crush on me haha
people are just assholes and society teaches that fast food workers are lower on the totem pole than the rest of us
That's true in some cases. Then in others I ask "why is the employee so damn rude to me?" I try to be nice bc I don't think working in a fast food environment is all that easy especially at peak eating ours. With that being said some employees have attitudes right of the back and that frustrates the hell out of me sometimes.
Ikr? I used to work at taco bell and they were such assholes. One guy almost had me in tears, basically telling me I was too stupid to work and making cracks about my anorexia (my bmi was 16 back then) I quit very shortly after, it just wasn't for me
There are 2 things here. Watch a potential partner, and see how they treat the people who serve them. That's how they'll be treating you soon enough, if you stay with them.
Sometimes complaining to the chef can backfire. He might spit on your steak, or worse, before he returns with what you want. I've heard stories form chefs.
Never piss off people who handle your food out of your sight. One of the rules I live by.

What you have to understand is people are followers and society has dictated to us that 'fast food workers' are somehow worth less than other people. This feeling is only multiplied when you add in our societies obsession with status and perceived "success"
I honor a man or woman for getting up and doing their job. No matter if they are a tax attorney or a line cook. More people should operate in the same way.
Furthermore, they should have their pay increased. Some people have 'class system' in their mind, and usually they are not only rude to service staff but also to others whom they feel are less superior than them.
The only people I know that are rude to fast food workers tend to be rude to all people.
they're rude cause they're hungry, possibly :D
