No, not the entire planet, just a small part of it, Death Star didn't use the full power. She might have skipped the episode IV, V and VI, but that doesn't mean she is dead.
She was on the beach, she might have jumped in the lake, or in some shelter in the ground, or something else I guess, see the options and think about the possibilities ;)
No form of teleportation has ever been shown to exist in the Star Wars universe, yet, so that's out. The wake of the destruction cause by the Death Star was enough to scatter debris out of a planets atmosphere so that makes going underground or under water quite literally useless. This also makes some random Jedi using the force to make a barrier an impossibility. Vader is the strongest force user alive and even he couldn't survive that explosion if he was planet side. She's dead. Deader than dead. She's space dust.
Ok but, no form of cloning has ever been shown to exist in the Star Wars universe before the Attack Of The Clones, so it's not completely impossible, maybe they'll introduce teleportation in some new movie. Perhaps some unknown old Jedi was more powerful Force user than Vader, possibly even mightier than the Emperor (maybe Yoda's teacher). Not all the planet was destroyed, Death Star didn't use full power for the blast, I don't see why the water wouldn't be able to protect her, or some ground shelter (if she went deep enough).
OK, I'm not going to entertain this anymore. You just keep hoping she's alive and stay disappointed when she doesn't show up in anymore more movies cause she dead.
This was a much grittier movie then all the others in the star wars franchise. To allow her to live really doesn't fit with the over all feel of the movie.
That's impossible. Even though the Death Star didn't use full power, the entire area was destroyed, including the beach that she and Cassian were sitting on.
Cassian was severely injured, and it looked like she was in no mood to leave him. Also, they would have had to wade out into the water to even get near somewhere that might be deep enough. There simply was no time.
There's no way. She'd have to wade out into the middle of the lake, swim to the bottom, and maybe, just maybe she could survive. It's 1,000,000 to one odds.

She can't survive because Rogue One takes place between 3 and 4 and she isn't in 4.
that she didn't appeared in Ep IV doesn't means she wasn't alive... it only explores part of the story, but not all.
Ya but the planet exploded. They had to kill everyone because they're not in 4.

It destroyed the base and the surrounding area. She was in the surrounding area.

Thanks for the Spoiler -_____-
Sorry, I thought you've seen it already :(
I just hope she was teleported somewhere :(
I have no clue, maybe she did jump in the water.
As a Trekkie, I think she was teleported.
Teleported? Maybe -_-
Hole in the ground looks possible.
Thanks for the spoilers asshole :/
Sorry :(
GODDAMMIT FUCKING SPOILERS
Sorry :(
apology accepted
Haven't seen it yet duuudddeeee
Oh, sorry :(
It's ok, I was just like "My virrggiinnn eyyeess!!!"🙈😂😂👏
At least I can hope she will be cloned.
this sounds like a spoiler
You mean for the sequel - Rogue Two? :P
i haven't seen any of them :0
I certainly hope she was cloned afterwards.
She is absolutely 100% dead
Why would you think that?

Ok, but don't forget, even if she is dead, she might appear in later movies as a hologram, or in someone's memory.
I haven't see it as I'm not a fan of the franchise
Spoiler alert ever?
Sorry :(
She's a goner.
Why would you think that?
This was a much grittier movie then all the others in the star wars franchise. To allow her to live really doesn't fit with the over all feel of the movie.
But it would be a pleasant surprise.
Fucking spoilers...
She is dead.
I hope not :(
Of course not.
Why not? :(
They all got annihilated by the Death Star.
But what if she somehow managed to evade the explosion?
That's impossible. Even though the Death Star didn't use full power, the entire area was destroyed, including the beach that she and Cassian were sitting on.
What if they leaped in the water?
That wouldn't stop the Death Star.
Unless they reached the bottom very quickly.
Cassian was severely injured, and it looked like she was in no mood to leave him.
Also, they would have had to wade out into the water to even get near somewhere that might be deep enough. There simply was no time.
Meh, she knew that he probably wouldn't survive, and he wanted her to live, maybe she left him and somehow succeeded to escape the explosion.

Maybe the lake was deep near the beach, but yeah, it's a slim chance, what about the hole in the ground theory?
