Here's exactly what would happen if I was in there. I'd slowly approach the big spider, crying and shaking, about to hit it with the bat. Then I'd end up throwing the bat at it and running into the corner.
Then I would realize I fucked myself by throwing my only weapon.

Yes, I would. Heck yeah-- $1 billion is a LOT of money. I could easily live a comfortable life not doing any work ever again I bet with that kind of cash. A billion in the bank gets an interest of at least like $8 million a year on the low side I wanna say. I could live off $5 million a year with no job and still make $3 million a year in profit + a bit more each year.

As per the costs, it comes in the form of risks via the spiders. However, the vast majority of spiders like to stay away from humans. The only one with issue is the gigantic-ass spider on the right since he may see me as potential food. Unfortunately, I don't know the type of "6-legged" spider he is off the top of my head haha. I don't how large the room is either. It could be a huge room, in which case, the threat is even lower.

Luckily, if he is a type of spider that prefers ambush, we could stay out of each others way easily. Unlike it seems many bugs, I realize walking into a web is generally a bad thing. Now, if he is the type of spider to hunt and attack, I'd just have to be on the lookout. Good thing is that I have a metal bat, so I should be fine. If you can kill people (who have bones) with one hit of a metal baseball bat, a spider with soft skin like that will be smushed. After being attacked, I'm doubting the spider would risk the threat.

So heck yeah, people have done worse things in the world for a million, let alone a billion. Easiest billion ever made. I'll just chill in the corner minding my own business.

As long as I'm allowed to wear adequate amounts of protective gear and allowed to use bug repellent prior to starting, then maybe. Gonna need repellent that lasts for the entire duration. if the spider isn't aggressive coming towards me I'd probably just ignore and avoid it altogether. Wait, does this entire room only have just one big spider? Or are those tiny dark spots also bugs?

@JustinTheGreat well that makes it more possible then. The way I see it, if I leave them alone and don't harass them the odds of getting attacked are less likely. Don't know if they are very aggressive. I'd try to not to move around too much and make them feel threatened.
