Though the 1 mil might replace anything that was taken, I don't want someone wandering into my home taking my computer, which has irreplacable info on it and personal info that might cause me to lose that 1 mil, or have someone rifle through my stuff.
I've actually left my door open by accident for hours. But it was upsetting and nerve wracking. I was robbed many, many years ago and felt violated. Don't want to feel that again for any price.
I'd have no idea what was lost/stolen, or whose gnarly fingers had gone through my stuff for who knows how long...
And if my passwords were found out, I'd be in trouble. Anything could happen to your home if you were missing for a day with your door wide open. Nope. Nope.
I can safely say yes to that.
I live in a gated community with tight security.
Plus, our lot is fully fenced & gated as well just like most of the neighbors' homes.
Furthermore, our dogs are reliable.
We have security cameras too.
So, gimme my $1,000,000.00!
I live in the middle of 30 acres at the end of a 4/10 mile long, winding, uphill, gravel driveway on the side of a hill. It's in a safe, rural area. I only lock my doors when my wife and I go to bed.
I would gladly leave my front door fully open all day for $1 million. I wouldn't be at all worried about thieves or marauders. Bugs and maybe a lizard or mouse or two would get in, but I could deal with that. My cats would take care of any small critters.
Thanks for MHO :)

Yeah sure, just take out all the furnitures into a truck then just buy a new house with the million bucks
Yes because I would be sitting in front of it for the entire day to make sure no one would enter and I wouldn’t eat anything and Barely drink anything so I wouldn’t have to go to the toilet.
As long as I can put the rescue kittens in a different part of the house, sure. They're scared of being outside.
Open or unlocked? If unlocked I already do that if open I do that as well all summer as I have a screen door and the breeze is quite lovely.
I do so since over 3 1/2 years. For free.
I live in a reasonably civilized area and country - so it works well.
my house has a gate around it that can only be opened with a password..
Sure, when the temperatures are warm enough and the cats are taken care of
Yeah I have a rear facing house so literally no one can see my front door anyways
Show me the money. I live in the country with a sheriff as a neighbor. Other than maybe a bird getting in my stuff would be safe.
Yes probably. I'll just take my laptop and phone and go for a sleepover.
Already had to when we were having our kitchen redone. 2 12-hour work days = one day.
Nope, don't care about money and there's wildlife around. I want my safety to be good.
Yes, and would leave food and water for the two dogs that will be sitting there waiting
Too many bugs would get in. If I can have a screen door closed, I would and have.
100% yes.
Yes especially if it's winter.
Been there, done this.
I have a shotgun, I'll be fine
That is free money why not?
What you mean exactly when you say "front door"?
