i catch her zoning out like many times a day. she could be saying something, then in mid sentence she'll just go blank and stare into thin air pretty much. i could be talking to her, she will pay attention, then a few moments into me talking, she will just go into space.
i ask her if she's fine, and she says she is. i ask her what she's thinking about, and she says she doesn't actually know because it's just kinda "fuzzy". no she also doesn't have a disorder, disease, disability, etc so please don't assume that.
ie of what i mean:
she was on her computer at her desk in the basement, and i was on the couch in the basement as well this morning. i was maybe 10 feet away from her and could see that she was typing some paper up. she randomly stopped for 30 seconds, zoned out completely and stared blankly. i walked over to her, tapped her on the shoulder and waved my hand in front of her and said "are you here or in space again?" to bring her attention back. she blinked and said "uhm... yah... i am". i said "ok...", and in the middle of me asking her what she was thinking about, she did it again.
last night while we were in bed, she was asking me something, stopped talking, and went into "duh mode" as she says. she said "hey, i was gonna ask if you know ab--" to me and stopped talking then just stared into space like I've said before. i turned on the lamp beside me and she was physically there, but mentally she was gone if you know what i mean. so again, i gently shook her on her shoulder and waved a hand in front of her to bring her attention back. when she "came back to reality" she started to look very bothered by all these things and just buried her face into me.
what could this be? she went to a doctor. they said it could be a variety of things such as stress, nerves, overwhelm, anxiety, etc. she doesn't think it's any of those at all because she told me she doesn't feel stressed, nervous, overwhelmed, or anxious one bit.
