I almost got my self swindled today to cut story short I received a friend request from a lady called MARIAN FORSTER on Facebook and I accepted it so like we began chatting and she was from Houston Texas and she said I was a nice guy and all that stuff and I said thank you and she said she got a surprise for me and I was excited and she said if I got an iPhone I said no its to expensive over here and she said ok later after some hours she posted a pic of an iPhone 8, Macbook pro and a box sealed saying she added 1k$ for me and I said thank you and showed me a stamp of my name on it and I was excited after some time I noticed a glitch in the pic with certification of my address like she sent it from the US and it has +44 which is the British dailing code with United kingdom on it then I went online to search British airways cargo and I saw on a website NAIRALAND its a forum for we Nigerians and I got so much complain about how it happened to them and they were scammed with their money gone so later I asked her and she said that the cargo company had its embassy in the USA and I showed her the screen shot of people complaining and asked her for explanation and she blocked me. I later noticed that it was my fellow country man trying to gee (Nigeria slang for scam) me. Oooo am so lucky

Many, many years ago, when I was at the tender age of 9, I was enjoying my day in Varrock. Some guy told me that he would give me a fair amount of money, for free! Under one condition; I had to give him my most valuable belonging, which he would then give back to me plus some cash. And recently I got a strange text message "your brother is in a hospital and needs your help, send money to...". First, I don't have any brother. Second I checked the number on it was someone from Germany. Weird dude.
I have been scammed. I was sent a phishing e-mail message before by people from another country. Fortunately, I viewed the address bar and the connection wasn't even secure (http://). I didn't proceed to enter my details there upon realizing it.
I applaud you for being vigilant! Here's a rule of thumb to live by: if it's too good to be true, then it has to be a sham.
Ha, so funny to so nairaland mentioned on here... Don't know why. But yeah, be more careful in future. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
I met one russian before. That website want money before chatting each other, so I left my email address there. One day, a russian girl send me, god she wrote too much each email and photo. I could not read every in time. Then started to blame me why did I write back. She still wanted money in the end be fore I read all. I was not excited actually, She is not my type did not turn on either, Even those picture is sexy alike.
