I don't know 100% of his heritage neither do I care. And how do I know Syrian people can't have blue eyes, is there a rule? I see black people, hispanic people with blue eyes, is that not allowed?

Levantines are mixed, which is why it's not rare to see light features on them. Unlike true Arabs (Saudi, Qatari, Emarati, Yemen) who although can be light normally have dark features.

That's no surprise. Many Arabs have light eyes. You've got the wrong picture of an Arab in your head.

We arab people can also be blond, black, Asian, brown, mixed-race, and redhead.
Because syria have been under occupation of a lot of differents countries and have some mixed races, one of the ancestor ( maybe be very far from him) had blues eyes.
