Because many women have hybristophilia. Its a mental illness that mostly effects women and causes them to feel sexual attraction to violent men. They pretend to be disgusted by them in the real world but they purposefully get with these guys while making it seem like it was an accident, and then when they realize the guy may potentially kill them that's when they decide to bail out.
If he is out it is because of the "Alpha" thing; if he is in prison and never getting out studies have shown that most of these have been abused (ironically) and since he is never getting out they are in "control"- not logical but their minds are not thinking logically and they are reacting emotionally
It's just that he's famous so more women know about him. A sexy woman who became famous (even by crime) would probably have more men fall in love with her too because more men know about her
