Never with heels. With ankle boots I wear ankle socks and with everything from calf high to thigh high I need long socks. I made the mistake of wearing leather thigh high heeled boots for an entire day without any socks and almost traumatised myself after as I couldn’t slide them off as they’d stuck to my skin from sweating and what not.
