Do you respond when someone knocks on the door of a public restroom?

I saw this meme and it made me laugh. I don't feel like I should have to respond if someone knocks. If the handle is locked, someone is in there! What do you do?

I usually just say "Hello!" or "Occupied!". Sometimes I say "Occupado!" and just wait for someone to respond "I don't speak French!". Then I'll know I made a new friend.

It's really annoying when there is a sliding tab on the outside that says "Occupied" and they don't pay any attention

It's either "occupied" or "Just a minute"
If it is someone I know (like at work) I might respond with "It's me" or "I'm in here"

They already know it’s occupied. They’re just being weird or stupid, so have fun with them.
My go to is “hey come look at the size of this!”

You know I always hang my bag or jacket or even roll up TP between the door and door and stall bc I know some people will look in the crack to if it’s occupied. Look at the door. It’s CLOSED. You don’t need more Info than that. 🙄

Depends how aggressively they handle or rattle the door. If they seem insistent about getting in, I'll say something about being out soon so that I don't feel rushed and they don't panic.

I rarely respond when someone knocks on the door of my apartment unless I'm expecting a visit lol, so in the toilet there's literally zero chance anyone's getting a (friendly) response! lol
