Why or why not? i've noticed lot of the time people seeming to think this even if its subconsciously even if you don't think this why do you think its a stereotype? or seems to be that if a woman looks good she can't possibly also have brains or because her interests might not be all that exciting etc, why do you think some people think this?

Do you assume if a woman is very girly/feminine she is less intelligent?
It's almost funny because when I think of a feminine woman I think of someone mature, wise, intelligent, classy, knowledgeable but especially mentally strong. Qualities that still require some brain even if not all of them are necessarily associated with intelligent.
I think the problem is, a lot of traditionally feminine characteristics in women come from past days when women didn't get education and couldn't work, they had restricted lives and restricted connections and when you live a life like that you don't really have much better to do than gossiping and backbiting... Especially when a woman's self worth was tied to a lot of superficial and vain things.
The impact of those days still exist in the present day. A lot of traditionally feminine acts don't have anything to do with using your brain at all, like makeup and fashion, cooking, cleaning, being passive and submissive, letting the man take the lead and follow along, being a housewife etc. No doubt a lot of these roles require a lot of effort, hard work and devotion which no one denies, but intelligence... not really.
But I think that femininity is way beyond that especially in the modern day. And I'm not even talking about maths and science. Again, because traditionally men were the ones getting into these fields and could show their intelligence, a woman getting into that field has never really been seen as feminine even though things are shifting lately. But what I mean is actually being conscious about the environment and alert of your own actions especially in the kind of society that encourages women to lose their minds and act on their impulses.
Also, I think we limit intelligence to a very small range of things, like being good at math or scoring high on IQ scores, there are many people who suck at math and got very funny score in IQ test but they're still intelligent people in real life. Unpopular opinion: I think the Kardashians are very intelligent. They might act dumb and all, but here's the catch. They know exactly how to grab attention and fame, they know exactly how to manipulate and influence the world to put them on a pedestal for doing the bare minimum. If that's not intelligent then I don't know what is. Yes they could have used their brains for something better, I don't like the Kardashians at all... But they are intelligent. Very intelligent.
Of course not! I am girly/feminine and submissive, that doesn't say anything about my intelligence. In fact, I fancy myself rather clever.
I think it is a stereotype because being submissive is often paired with being girly/feminine and that generally translates to letting other people take charge and make the choices for you. Perhaps it is slightly rooted in reality but I don't believe it justifies making those sorts of assumptions.
@Xyline789 I was under the impression that we were supposed to predicate our answers on the basis that it was a stereotype and explain the reason why. It requests it in the question.
Besides, some people do hold this stereotype. Not a grand majority, but certainly a sizeable minority.
To me, being "girly" means you're obsessed with girly things, like shoes, clothes, make-up, etc.
So yeah, nothing about any of that screams "intelligence."
Smart people are obsessed with ideas and facts and truth. They don't have time to dress themselves up like a doll to try and attract attention. They usually don't WANT attention, they're busy.
Nothing is more childish than someone trying to always be the center of attention, "look at me, look at me, LOOK AT MEEEE!!!" But that is basically the heart of being girly/feminine.
It's pretty hard to act like a child all the time and still come off as an intelligent, mature person worthy of respect and confidence.
Both of my exes were feminine yet both were way smarter and more creative than me. However, I assume this stereotype exists because people assume a very feminine woman lacks common sense and/or the grit needed to be tough. Intelligence is measured in many more ways than the academic realm. Also, some people assume that very pretty women do not even bother trying to be smart because their looks can carry them. Of course I do not believe this, but these are my guesses as to why some think feminine women are not smart.
No, people have different styles. And even the same people can frame themselves differently depending on venue, expected mood of the outing, currently-available clothes at the time, etc.
Questions on intelligence would come from observed words, deeds, rumors/reputation, etc.
No I judge people from how they interact with me not how they look. But I do think that stereotype exists for a reason. Attractive women don't have to try as hard to develop their personality, have charisma etc. because people automatically like them more. So there are cases where they're just boring and don't have anything to offer besides their looks.
I would say that I am a very feminine girl. But personally, if anyone underestimates my intelligence, it's most likely my fault. I'm a casual, easily spoken person, a little funny and I like to humour people by pretending to be ignorant (funnier than it sounds I promise). So when I say something highly political or insightful, people tend to do bit of a double take. But it's my own choice to downplay a bit, and I don't have an issue with it.
No but here's how I think about the 2. I'm only my into feminine women wearing pink and having a soft voice turns me tf on. As far as intelligience goes, I couldn't give a shit. As long as you're not annoyingly dumb or annoyingly smart it's all good. Less smart girls tend to be sweeter and gentler from my experience and theyre more appreciate. id take that any day over a girl who's good at math
Because all she does is focus on looks and shopping knowledge that fills her brain up. So now there is no room for some real knowledge. It's amazing that she has to write her name down and pin it to herself. Just so she'll remember.
I think the ugly stick and the smart stick need to come out a play a tune on her. Then she might remember some knowledge.

Usually beautiful women tend to lie down on their beauty and not to cultivate skills and talents. When they show themselves incapable or clumsy in doing something they always have in their mind a protective thought like "who cares, I'm so beautiful", avoiding the possibility of self-improvement. And that's why beautiful and intelligent women at the same time must be infinitely appreciated. Fortunately we have many of them
The so called "femininity" and "masculinity" are a social construct, it's not a natural behaviour, it's learned. Gender roles were imposed by the religion, thousands of years ago. Presently, they exist as a stereotype in human society, but in reality, not all women are "the same", and not all men are "the same". Every individual has certain personality traits, regardless of their biological gender.
Nope, know some very girly women smart enough to run their own businesses successfully. They are pretty awesome, easy to get along.

Nah, I think intelligence is an individual thing. Doesn't depend on your sex or your personality/character. The only thing I will say, is the majority of women are more manipulative than me. Being that most men are easily swayed by the sight and/or smell of pussy. There is a small number of us that don't let pussy control any aspect of our lives.
No, I don’t. But I can’t say the same about most tomboys I know, therefore I would naturally assume more intelligence in girly girls if not absolute intelligence 💃🏻🧠

The only time I assume someone is less intelligent than me is if they act like a really silly ditz. Or a stuck-up asshole. Otherwise I think they're just as, if not smarter, than me,
