They’re between, in the transitioning phase. There old enough to be given certain responsibilities that they must learn to manage, but not old enough to know enough from experience yet since they’re still babies in that world.
They are very definition of adults. If they weren't adults then we wouldn't expect adult responsibilities from them. Laws would be different. They wouldn't be able to vote etc.
They’re adults who should be accountable for their actions. Does that mean theyre potentially more manipulatable than experienced older adults? Yes and the law should reflect that. Like not letting them drink alcohol until 21.
I'd say a better system would be age of awareness 14-16 which would allow for driving, sexual consent, being tried as an adult etc and an age of sovereign citizenship that allows for voting, purchasing firearms and alcohol, taking large loans and I'd set that around 25

They’re*
While they are adults, most 18-19 year olds are still maturing. I would refer to them as young adults

Mental maturity:
Men = age 24 and above
Women = age 40 and above (never for some)
They're adults who still act like children oftentimes.

They are legally adult. But they are not mature and often not independent.
True!
Sexually, adults, mentally, still children. Supposedly, you're not fully adult until you're 24.
If you really push it you could say people are childs to 25 but for most intents and purposes a 18 year old is an adult
You are legally an adult the second you turn 18. I don't give a damn about any other standards.
Somewhere in-between.
Science tells us that brain development isn't complete until about age 25.
Obviously they're considered adult but I've never met someone that I could say was a true adult under 25

Some still act like teenagers and some act like adults. I believe I was very much an adult emotionally at 18.
I mean people have been fighting wars since a very young age, so yes
There in the in between phase of life. Or at least a typical teenager is.
Adults according to the law but more like teens in my opinion. It's not like you're suddenly a mature adult the minute you turn 18.
Adults I guess. But do we ever really grow up? I'm 23, still dont feel like an "adult" just feel like me in much the same ways I always have.
If our society didn't keep them in perpetual childhood, girls age 16 are adults and boys age 19 are adults.
If they still live with their parents and have no job, they are children, independent of age.
