so I was swimming at my tia's. and my mom was mad for some reason. no clue why but we left early and when we were in the hall of my aunties apartment, my mom calls me a selfish, self-centered bitch. and I don't care about anyone but myself. right IN front of my aunt. then she asked later that night why was I crying? I said really you don't know? she said i was grounded for being disrespectful. but isn't calling your child a bitch or really any names rude, disrespectful, bullying, and emotional abuse? but i got depression and then she started calling me lazy. so i started feeling like I was useless, worthless, and just not a good daughter. then i started getting into more trouble because i was being "disrespectful" but now its just normal for me being called a bitch. guys dont ever call your mom a bitch. if the aren't showing you respect, just ask if they could start showing you some.

I'm sorry, but I personally stop showing respect when the other party constantly shows me no respect either. I don't believe parents should deserve respect unconditionally. They chose to have you, you didn't choose to have them.

Yes, it is. It may not seem like it but they have a good reason for doing it. As parents, they tend not to think about you as an equal after all, they are raising you and you came literally from them. They expect you to obey them. It's not your place to ask for respect, that's similar to your dog doing something you don't like and then asking for respect.

They probably think you are disrespectful in the first place. And when you cry, they think you already know you're being disrespectful, so by then questioning them, it would seem that you are disrespectful from that pov.

Spanish moms can be so cold. It’s not okay for her to call you a bitch. It’s abusive. She could have just said brat instead but then again Spanish moms are notorious for being kind of abusive
