I was in the faculty/grad student lounge and a professor came in and asked another one who was sitting there if he was upset about an unpopular decision the department chairman had made. The prof said something like, "In the past four years I've lost my wife in an accident, my house and everything I owned in a wildfire, and my twenty year old son is now fighting cancer. I'm not too concerned about the chair's decision".
It kind of put things in perspective.
Not all men cheat when you get older. Some do, but it’s by no means a foregone conclusion. And the ones who do are usually the same ones who cheat on you when you’re young and beautiful too.
