BO:Is it normal to smell bad DURING a workout?

(I got permission from her) my friend and I are in gym class together in always lets out and older every time she works out but after a workout she smells just fine she puts on deodorant before and after she works out but it kind of doesn't work for her when she's working out after she works out she will put on her deodorant and wash yourself off in the bathroom and she'll smell just fine like roses and whatever she use so do you think it is normal for people to smell while they're working out not after.( I'm keeping her name hidden for a reasons)

Well, if she's working out properly, then she should sweat. At least a little. If she has smelly sweat (which is something some people have) then she will smell during workout. And there is no amount of deodorant that can help... Unless she bathe in it before working out. But I don't recommend it.

Yes. It is. Some people's sweat has stronger smell. You can hide it on everyday basis but if you workout, you sweat too much to hide it.
It's not that big of a deal to be honest. Gyms are full of sweat and people usually focus on their workout. Not on how you smell 😅

Your right, I told her to not worry but her teammates told her coach so now she is dropping the class because of their toxic behavior but she will continue to workout with me at a gym not school.

Yeah, school can be cruel. Don't let her think too much about it. Plus, if you're in school, it's probable that this BO will go away later in life.

I will support her in everyway I know it normal to have a smell during a workout, she just wanted others opinions to make sure it's not just her.

She could try a different deodorant that works during workouts, such as one of those “sporty” ones that’s made especially for athletes, or one of the “clinical strength” ones that’s stronger that normal deodorants.

She most likely needs something special because she does more activity than the average person. Many regular deodorants are not equipped to handle that.

Yeah maybe she need two types of deodorants for before and after. more for before but after she smells like pure soap only if you get close but far away she smells like nothing.

Yes, because after she’s done working out, she’s back to a normal level of activity. So at that point, a normal deodorant works fine.

Yes it's wht deodorant and soap was created.
We naturally begin to smell deodorant and soap help to slow that down.

She uses that every time after workout but for some reason her teammates says she stink and told their coach, she asked me, and other of her friends we all didn't smell anything so she is confused on why they told.

I mean i play basketball since I was 10.
Never had this problem myself or a teammate, i mean i played against people who stunk but they were very well known for not showering.

She told me she puts on dept before working out she NEVER does without her supplies I seen her do it before. she would go to the bathroom and take a wash off than use her supplies she also told me she played golf and this never happen to her. i use to be the manager for her went she played golf and we would walk for hours she wouldn't smell bad just like grass but that it.

It depends on your diet. Those who have a bad diet are more prone to worse BO. The sweat doesn't change, but the stinkyness of it does. (The same thing happens to women's vaginas too, I hear!)

You're supposed to sweat during a workout. That's why you're supposed to shower after gym class.

Yeah, it's kinda gross to do that, anyone should shower off the sweat after gym. It's just hygienic.

Yeah, she will be fine. she just other people's opinions, she wanted opinions because her coach told her that her teammates smelled her during the workout, but she smell fine after.

Healthy sweat is odorless.
Needing deodorant means a bad diet, an infection, or some other health problem is to blame.

After she’s done working out make sure she doesn’t shower or put odorant on or perfume and then ask her for a two minute wrestling match on the matt then you’ll know for sure how she smells naturally lol

With some people yes for example if you eat a lot of hamburger and french fries you smell like that some people smell like Burger King after they’re done exercising lol

I definitely believe so but some people just smell a lot worse than other people also teenagers have that certain smell because they’re having changes in their system
