Why was I shouting in my sleep?

Last night I woke myself up by my own voice, shouting for help standing next to the bathroom.

I have no idea if I ran to the bathroom after waking up, or if I shouted because I was dazed by a dream, or if I was in a dream.
Never had anything like this happen before.

I’ve done this after reading a really disturbing book, I was saying something about the book. Never left the bed though. The brain is a mysterious thing.

I’ve never sleep-walked in my life. So I’m hoping I ran as soon as I woke up. My stairs are steep and I don’t want to fall down them

I guess, the causes are unknown but stress is one of the most common triggers of night terrrors, I think fever is also one as well

Thanks buddy, I am super placid about any convos on gag. There is a famous quote; “what others think of me, is none of my business.” Its a beautiful mindset and completely true.
In fact, I don’t even hate anyone who gets stressed at me on here, if you read a lot of the discussions on this forum, most of them get so heated. Perhaps, people read my opinions in the same tone? 🙂
