Should a rapist get death if he (literally) destroys a girl's motherhood?

I was watching the ID channel once. In on of the episodes, it was about a 7-8 year-old girl that got kidnapped from her bedroom, raped and stabbed. She barely survived and that's not all. The lowlife damaged her reproductive organs and she can never give birth in her life.

The girl was off course devastated when she got older and learned she could never have kids because of what he did to her. Her dream of getting married and becoming a mother got destroyed. Days or weeks before she wanted to confront him (he got caught many years later and admitted it) at court, he hangs himself.

Honestly if a rapist does that and permanently destroys a girl's motherhood, should he (already proven guilty and he admits it) get death penalty?

Im of the opinion that a rapist SHOULD NOT recieve the death penalty. I believe it was said below already but death truly is too easy. No, No, they should be alive to suffer just like the child they abused and took the innocence of. here's my Alternative, take the rapist, apply a chemical into their system that takes away their ability to move, basically make them paralyzed, toss them on a machine to keep them alive and healthy and just leave them completely alone, no human contact. Trust me, their mental state will break long before they die and they will beg for death and it won't come for them. Bodily harm and death penalty are nice things, BUT, breaking them mentally is a torture in itself. Those children have to live with this event for the rest of their lives so the least their assaulter can do is suffer even more.

This isn't a bad thing. She can have all the sex she wants now with one less major thing to worry about.. and as a former rape victim, she's most likely gonna grow up wanting a ton of it..

They could probably be charged with rape and aggravated mayham which is causing permanent disabilty or disfigurement to an organ or limb, which in some states like California carries a life sentence with the possibility of parole but I'm guessing, the prosecution would probably have to argue that the action was intentional.

Even with a life sentence, that's still money being wasted on keeping them alive in prison, feeding them, providing them a TV, recreation time, etc. Whereas in other countries like Indonesia, a rapist got sentenced to death.

Women are more than their ability to have children. For someone to violate another person's body to begin with and take away their right to consent is enough for me to think they deserve the death penalty. The fact that the victim was a child just makes it even worse.

If you watch Korean historical drama, you would be aware that people can be tortured into confessing so I don't consider confessions as proof. However, it there is overwhelming evidence, I would not object if those rare individuals were executed.

Being a rapist alone warrants the death penalty in my opinion, so yes, unless you make the argument that death is too easy and they need to be kept alive and continuously suffer.

@Vendela I DID answer the question- the only reason it would warrant a penalty greatur than rape already carries is if damaging fertility is seen as even more severe. And if that applies, it sheuld apply regardless of the genders involved, which the phrasing of the question didn't indicate.

Now why can't YOU accept that a multifaceted question warrants a complex answer? Reality isn't simple.

Forgiving has nothing at all to do with the other person or circumstance. Forgiving isn't about being moral or virtuous. It's about not letting the person or circumstance steal anymore from you, especially because you know they will be taking care of. And there is a mountain of meaning in that last sentence. If everyone truly understood it to its core, I think they would agree with me; and I think they would live their everyday life differently too.

Anyone who seeks personal revenge or seeks to watch, in satisfaction, of their or another's perpetrator suffer in punishment is either ignorant or weak in self-discipline. Usually it is ignorance, which is no fault of our own.
