TEENAGERS: I felt in my heart to inform you about two viruses that teenager's can contract. Would you like to know what they are?

One is called HPV (Human Papilloma Virus) which has no symptoms but you and/or anyone you have sex with can come down with this virus in your teenage years. It can cause cancer.
The other is Bacterial Meningitis which also attacks teenager's and this infection can cause loss of limbs, hearing, death, and other things. This does have symptoms - very bad symptoms!
There are vaccines for both that you need to get as a teenager. I hope that you will research both of these. I thought it was important to inform you of them. Your life could be saved. These aren't like COVID-19 or those vaccines.
My son contracted Bacterial Meningitis when he was 18. That was my inspiration to ask this question.

The bacteria most often responsible for bacterial meningitis are common in the environment and can also be found in your nose and respiratory system without causing any harm. The same is true for many other potentially dangerous "germs". A healthy immune system keeps a person's bio-diverse microbiome in balance.

Conventional vaccines against bacterial infections like diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, and measles can be safe and effective.

Viral infections are trickier and claims of efficacy sometimes questionable.
The HPV vaccine is problematic. Are there any independent studies that prove efficacy? The big problem is, I've heard many tragic horror stories about severe permanent injury from the vaccine, itself.

@Lliam WOW! I didn't realize this about the HPV vaccine. I see the TV commercials about it every now and then. I know the virus itself can cause cervical cancer and other cancer's as well. Not just cancer though, but you can get other maladies too. But if the vaccine is dangerous and then so is cancer, which is the worst of the two evils?

@Lliam You asked how my son is doing. He was 18 when he contracted Bacterial Meningitis. He is 44 now. He became completely deaf in his right ear, which is caused by all of the antibiotics or some unknown reason. The doctors didn't know why. He is on blood thinners everyday. He made it though 🙂 and I love him so much. I have more to this story, but I don't want to bore you. ☮️

Last I checked, in regards to HPV, there are 116 strands and only 1 causes cancer. There are far more cancer causal agents than HPV to be worried about, the others are smoking, drinking, industrial waste, et al.

Andres77 you are right, we don't hear much about Mononucleosis (Mono) anymore. I believe there are cases of it still around. I had contracted it when I was 25. For three days of me going to the clinic with a high fever they said I had the flu. The forth day I went they said "No wonder you're still sick, you have Mono". Then they gave me the correct medicine for it. Duh! I don't believe you can die from mono but you can get brain damage if you get a really high fever like 105°.
