How is it possible for a married man to still be a narcissist?

I was seeing an episode about a father who abandoned his teenaged daughter that was in a coma while the mother stayed by her side. She had some type of neuron issue or something. He was more worried about his daughter not being able to compete at gymnastics anymore than her own health/life. He wanted to get out of the middle class category and become wealthy through her success, through her money. He was thinking about himself and his daughter was a commodity to him.
When the girl recovered, the father randomly shows up asking for money. She cuts contact with him obviously. The dude had all the traits of a narcissist.

Usually the narcissist male will fake a future, lovebomb the woman, make her waste her time and not get married. But certain narcissists still have a wife and children. How is that possible?

It would make more sense if it was a married woman that was the narcissist. She would be gaining something by using him as commodity but what is a married narcissist man gaining? Usually they fake futures but don't propose nor marry the woman.

I know that. Sometimes I just wonder how is it possible for a narcissist man to still get married. He usually fakes futures, is and keeps the woman childless and at girlfriend status, never marries her.
