This is another in a series of geography questions. Each question will contain several things about a country and the goal is to guess what country that is. We'll try to go through the alphabet in order, and have a new question each day.

Things about this country:

* Its 879,800 lakes is the most in any country in the world.

* It has 2 officially recognized languages

* Its women's soccer team has won gold at the Olympics

* It has the tallest free-standing structure on its continent

* Its athletes have won a total of 551 Olympic medals through 2022

The correct answer is Canada.

With all the lakes, it HAS to be Canada! That's one of the few things I know about the country. I also think most of the lakes have been untouched by man, as well. The only other country with a huge amount of lakes is Russia. And the country ONLY having two languages also means it has to be Canada; English and French. Most countries have more than two official languages, it seems. I have no clue what "the tallest free-standing structure on its continent" is, though. A mountain?

Oh. I thought the Empire State Building would've been taller.

The Empire State Building stands at 1,453 ft while the CN Tower stands at 1,815 ft. That’s with antenna heights though. The CN Tower is the tallest freestanding structure in the Western Hemisphere. The Empire State Building is also not a freestanding structure, it has underground supports as it is a building and not a tower.

One World Trade Center is the tallest building in North America.

Canada. Official languages are English and French. It's the second largest country in the world, so it probably has a lot of lakes. I don't know what its free standing structure is. It has a culture and population that is similar to the US in a lot of ways, so since the US has a good women's soccer team, I assume that Canada does also.
