Anyone else with a mini schnauzer that acts like this? When I move out should I take both my pets or just one?

About my dog:

So I have a mini schnauzer he’s a year and 8 months now and he’s very demanding when it comes to attention and play time. Often trying to force the other pets in my house to play with him. He’s constantly starting shit. He’s loud and is very sensitive about his sanitary areas and does get mad at times. He has a lot of personality. I’m starting to really want to invest in him a lot more as I’m thinking about taking him with me whenever I move out.

About my cat:

My boyfriend suggested that I don’t take both my dog and my cat but my cat will end up pouncing my mom’s dog if I leave him with her. The other option is to just leave my dog with my mom but I feel like he would get forgotten about like how she kinda forgets her dog since he’s so small. My cat needs another cat to play with otherwise he’s on someone’s ass. I play with my cat but it usually results in him pulling the toy away from me, hiding and becoming possessive of it like he starts growling. Even though I have no issue getting it back from him he’ll just take it away again and do the same thing especially with feather toys. It’s just my cat seem to have so much more energy than before and me playing with him isn’t enough anymore. He was a lot calmer when my other cat was alive but now he’s everywhere, constantly meowing and wanting to go outside.

I don’t know when exactly I plan on moving but it’s going to be within the next year most likely.
