You spot a big fire in a building but there's a spider on the only alarm, what do you do?

Question

Opening a door, you can't help notice a rather large and dangerous fire. Remembering that fire safety training you had last year you fill out the relative paperwork and calmly stroll to the only fire alarm in the building.

BUT THERE A WHOPPING BIG SPIDER ON IT

So what do you do?

You spot a big fire in a building but theres a spider on the only alarm, what do you do?

It's certainly a conundrum, I do want to help the people but it's also important that the spider dies in the fire and if i raise the alarm too quickly it might get put out before it reaches the spider.

Also now that I think about it, there are probably many spiders in the building and Im pretty sure when other people see that the building is on fire they will leave in a calm and orderly fashion without taking any of their precious things with them.

After all its not my fire or my building, I'm not sure this is any of my business at all, perhaps i should just leave before some do gooder starts accusing me of something or the spider escapes?

I'd pull the alarm and if the spider bites me, I'll bite it back. Though I have a good relationship with spiders in general. I only knock down their webs in my place when they get really big. Simply because they are better at pest control then me. That and if you catch a bug you can give it to the spider. That way the spider gets a free meal.

Spiders are creepy but there aren’t many that are actually dangerous to humans. I’d probably just flick it away and pull the alarm

Obviously the spider was trying to set off the alarm and save everyone but it couldn't. The spider is good so I'd have to save it. Too bad that by the time I get a cup to capture it and set it outside safely for being such a good spider, the building burned down. Oh well, at least I saved the cool spider. :)

depends on which state the fire is happening in. if it's my own state i'll go to the nearest gas station get 10 or 20 gallons of gasoline and pour it on the fire. if it's happening in a nearby state of the one i live in same rules apply. if it's happening in another state then i'll pull the alarm
