There’s a spider in my room and I’m really scared, what do I do?

I have arachnophobia (I think) and it’s like 2am... I was going to my room to go to bed and then I felt like I walked through a cobweb in the hallway, then when I got into my room there was a jet black spider there.

I tired waking up my family but they wouldn’t help. I’m back downstairs right now. What do I do?

My heart is racing and I’m sweating everywhere, I grabbed one of my shoes to kill it but I just couldn’t. I honestly got so scared I was pouring sweat.

What do I do? And I really have a fear of them especially because I’m not used to those kinds of spiders.

I know... I hate spiders as well... I think the best thing to do right now is to close the door of Ur bedroom (to make sure the spider stays in there) and then spend the night downstairs and w8 for the morning to come... and then ask your family for help in the morning... I hope I helped you.. thats all I could say... god damn spiders :D

Probably. It definitely works with small spiders, but “medium” is a very subjective measurement. I’d say it’s a safe bet for anything under 2.5” in diameter

Granted, they're creepy and their venom can do damage to the body, but only certain species are lethal to humans.

You've been advised to use chemicals to kill spiders, but those chemicals accumulate.

Have you considered more natural means of repelling (or even killing) the 8-legged freaks? You'd be surprised what a few plants, citrus peels, etc. can do.

Find a glass , or something similar over it , capture it in the glass, and then put it outside. I hate spiders , but I never kill them. I capture them and put them outside

Look up black widows and brown recluses, and anything else poisonous common in your part of the world. I love spiders, but if it's one of these, kill it fast. Don't risk it getting away and escaping to some small dark space where it can't be found.

The slipper is actually a good suggestion because it's a soft, floppy object you can swat with but which has a lot of bulk. This may kill the spider without squashing it all over your bed. I keep a hard bristle broom on hand, personally. Don't use big spray around your bed as this could result in health problems.

Meanwhile keep your home free of clutter, and don't store things in open cardboard boxes - use sealed containers, preferably plastic ones. Look up your local poisonous spiders for other factors that allow them to thrive in and around your home.

Keep a "spider kit" for the ones that aren't dangerous. I use a clear hard plastic picnic cup, the front door of a CD case, and a magazine subscription card. Put the cup on the spider, slide the card gently under the cup, then slide the CD case door under that. This will help you not hurt the spider while imprisoning it. Now slide the card out. The cup and its makeshift lid can be safely carried in one hand, then left on your doorstep or tapped against your outside windowsill without breaking, and if you drop them they won't kill somebody.

Well the best thing to do is leave it because they are more scared of you than you are of it plus they kill other bugs but because of the phobia well you could start doing exposure therapy which would help kill the phobia, you may be able to get a roommate or friend neighbor to help you or get a really long stick or cup or whatever and kill or trap it

Sleep on the couch, and in the morning, buy some spray that will kill spiders. Then you can spray them next time, and not need to get so close to hit them with a shoe.

As far as I know, it can be gotten at Walmart, But you have to read the labels, because not all sprays will kill spiders, etc. Some sprays are fairly specific for certain things.
