Guess the Country - starts with Z?

This is the last in a series of geography questions. Each question contained several things about a country and the goal is to guess what country that is. We went through the alphabet in order, and had a new question each day.

There are only two countries that start with "Z" ... Zambia and Zimbabwe, so you have a 50-50 chance of getting this one right.

Things about this country:

* Its name starts with the letter "Z"

* It is landlocked

* Its flag contains green red black and orange colors

* It's the larger of the two countries that start with "Z"

* The world's largest waterfall (by volume) is on the border of this country

* The world's largest mushroom (~1 meter in diameter) grows here

* It has 7 local semi-official languages,

* It is bordered by 7 countries

* The world's oldest "human" skull (heidelbergensis, 299 thousand years old) was found here

* It was once a British colony named after Cecil Rhodes

* It's one of the few countries where the "big five animals" (lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, buffalo) can be found in their native habitat

* Its athletes have won 2 Olympic medals through 2022

Though many people answered Zimbabwe, the correct answer is Zambia.

Turns out that Zimbabwe was once called Rhodesia, while Zambia was once called North Rhodesia, so the Cecil Rhodes clue could be either country.
