I’m a hugger. It took a long time to become this way, and i’m still only a hugger with certain people. I’ve hugged a complete stranger once. I felt like he needed it at the time. Turns out i really needed it too. In as much as we might need hugs, would you be willing to hug only complete strangers to fulfill that need? Or would you choose to never hug again? Assume a utopia where you wouldn’t have to worry for your safety or health due to hugging strangers, but they’d still be complete strangers.
I would only hug complete strangers because hugs are too important to go without.

Hugging is powerful. Especially when men hug other men. Most men go to bed starved of appreciation and validation.
You can impact people a lot more with a hug than with your words some times.

Yes, but not randomly. Like, it would be when I had the need. But, yeah. Hugs are necessary.
