Why some people have smaller/narrower eyes and other have larger/wider eyes, both Caucasian?

Is it genetics, is it more common in the British Isles and similar ancestries or the Balkans. I have notice there's Caucasian people with narrow eyes, usually dark coloured or light coloured but small eyes, and others like more Italian wide eyes shape. As best I can describe. On either gender. Why or how? Has anyone else noticed but me?

As you can see, I'm Caucasian and wide eyed. Blue.

I used to date a pale ginger girl who had the facial features of a Chinese person. I think we all carry the genetic information of our distant ancestors and we Caucasians have been migrating back and forward between Eastern Europe and Western Europe since the end of the ice age, its only really since maybe the end of the viking age that nationalities, countries and boarders really became fixed. The vikings are a good example of how someone in Britain could be carrying different dna from all over because at one point they were as far west as the Americas and as far east as the caspian sea, they established cities in England settled and mixed with the Anglo saxon population and later the Norman's had kingdoms in scilly, Italy and Syria.
