If every item you've ever lost like your keys, your lucky hat, your original wedding ring were suddenly in a box and you could retrieve just one thing, what would it be and why?

It’s a really great question! About four years too late for me though. Kinda more like six or seven, actually. I realized the myriad of diseases and defects associated with the compulsion to acquire and own things. Then i decided to work toward minimalism. About four years ago i decided to move across the country and had to push the turbo button on dumping “things”. I donated and threw away half of everything i owned; which honestly wasn’t that much because i’d been working on it for a couple of years at least. That short period of time was fairly transformative for me. I honestly can’t remember anything of value that i lost and never again found. That’s mostly because i don’t value things the same way i once did. Otherwise i have a very good memory and pretty good recall. Obviously minimalism isn’t for everyone, but i don’t miss wasting time, energy and money on utterly meaningless crap, and i have never missed anything i got rid of.
It really is a great question though!

A bamboo fishing pole I had as a kid.

Why? Sentimental reasons. Believe it or not I actually caught fish with it. And it is a reminder of an innocent simpler time when my father and sister were still alive. Lots of summer nights camping on river sandbar under the stars and a crackling fire.

Hmm, maybe some gifts that I was given as a kid that were stolen from me. My hiking belt amongst them, had binoculars tools all kinds of stuff in it. It was basically a real life batman belt that I wore in the boy scouts.

Pretty sure my Dad pawned it. What a jackass deadbeat.

Cybertron my transformer toy I lost when I was 4 it was my first and most favorite toy of all time he turned into a car , a plane , a motorcycle and the planet cybertron

or my silver 08’ ford mustang got towed after the radiator blew the cops gave me the wrong tow company on the ticket for obstructing traffic and never saw that car again first car I ever bought saved for two years worked my ass off to get it
