A random thought that hit me. I'm B. But what about you?
I try or do the utmost possible to stop on my tracks and not to bump into a person. But again, it all depends on a number of factors.
I try to avoid to go into busy streets or places where I know that there are a lot of people that gather together or that I have to come across. It is because of the problems associated with large crowds that I never attend concerts or other events where (mostly) younger people get together.
For a woman, it is not always easy not to bump into people in larger crowds and I have experienced in the past that people think that if a woman steps or bumps into a man, she wants something from them, which is obviously totally erroneous. On the other hand, I cannot say the same from men and I have also witnessed that men do bump into women on purpose.
I am very cautious not to give the impression that I want anything from anybody as misunderstandings can be the rule rather than the exception.
Perhaps that I am an exception but I prefer to be safe than sorry.

Hmm, interesting question. After thinking about it, I am probably both and really depends on the situation. For example, if it is someone with a drink in their hand or someone holding a small child, I am likely the stop in their tracks person.
If it is a crowded area with people going every which direction, I am likely to maneuver past people the best that I can. I think in that situation, it is likely that stopping completely will just cause others to bump into me anyhow.
I am trying to think of a time where this has happened and the first scenario I think comes up more. I can remember being out to eat recently and going to the ladies room. There was service staff carrying a tray of water on his shoulder and blocking is view of me. I stopped completely because I had no clue what direction he was going in. If I guess wrong, I would be wet and he would be cleaning up glass.
So, very dependent on the situation I think.
Confront and if necessary side step, within common sense, to keep the flow moving. And sometimes, we move straightforwardly while others must turn to avoid. Interesting post ‼️
better they run into me, instead of me mowing them over.
