Is it ironic that even a scammer doesn't want his child to be a scammer?

Anonymous

I was watching a youtube video of someone exposing a scammer. The conversation went well in the beginning and the scammer was so happy until the guy asked ''Are you a good father'' (several moments of silence until he began slowly answering) and ''Do you want your son to be like you''?

All of the sudden there was some more silence and the scammer answered ''no'' to the 2nd question. He wants his son to be a hero and not like him. The scammer kind of broke too.

Do you find this ironic? A scammer not wanting his child to be a scammer, to be like him?
