Why should I hypothetically go out of my way to meet someone who challenged me to a fight (martial arts culture question)?

Alcoholic_Wannabe

Anyone who I've spoken to about martial arts and combat sports knows that I have pretty extreme opinions about the purpose of training.. that being to become superior to others and becoming able to tangibly enforce your will on others.

I will not apologize for this mentality nor do I accept arguments for alternate views. 🤷🏻‍♂️

BUT.. this subculture of "settling beef" is really fucking stupid, particularly when it demands that the challenged party go out of their way to meet up with the person who challenged them.

Why should I take time out of MY day to meet up with YOU for problems that YOU have with ME?

I just won't. Either come find me or sit like a punk and simmer in your rage. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Your feelings on my behavior are not valid to me. If you want to make them my problem, get off your lazy swamp-ass and come make them my problem. THEN, you can get yourself thrown onto concrete and your head beaten into the ground until you stop moving ON CAMERA. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Because I have a life outside of your opinions.. I have a girlfriend, I have a job, I have a gym to go to, shopping, other recreation, etc. Show me where on that list is typed "go appease the butthurt twat screaming at me over the internet."

It's not fucking there.. and it never will be.

So explain my obligation.
