Purchased a house in the ghettos.bought a car because I like the color.
just seems like I just do things the opposite of most people.17 Reply- +1 y
A risk taker, that can be bad but it isn't because sometimes risks pay off
- +1 y
Yes, there is consequences with everything we do.
- +1 y
Yep, sometimes there's a reward tho, you seem like you survived all your risks tho lol
- +1 y
Indeed, I’m still here surprisingly 👍😊… does that mean others should take more risk?
- +1 y
Yes, but depends obviously, not stupid risks but risks as in leaps of faith that can help them in life.
- +1 y
rumor is you married someone from outer space and met after a few texts. definitely not a conformist:)

I’m usually a very shy person and on top of that I tend to be very conscious on every single step or thing I do, and because adult life I have to get a job that was on site, so getting out is one of the hardest things and going there has help me a little to overcome that fear of not being comfortable which make you more comfortable after a while :)
I think it also depends on what you do, I say that getting out of doing things you’re not use to or either don’t do at all, helps in general to step out of the comfort zone.01 Reply- +1 y
Damn that social anxiety be annoying no cap, I'm glad you managed to progress on your social skills tho and I hope u overcome I fully 💯🙏
+1 yI once approached a woman at a restaurant and bar that was hanging out with her friends. Through the course of the evening, I even invited her to dance and we talked for a while. My wingman chatted with her friends, too. The only thing that sucked was I offered her my number after the ladies went to the bathroom and came back, and she declined. That was the last time I approached someone. I was twenty eight and decided that enough was enough.

That was one of many rejections I've received over the fifteen years I looked. That was just the last one.

Only 3 were a match. Had fun on every single date. Planned every date. Played games on every date. cooked together on a few dates. It was fun and what I needed during that time. Any connection was appreciated.

+1 yStudying for 17 hours a day. Welcome to the life of a topper who is studying merely for no reason but for good grades which won't even do any good to me in future considering my aims. Bruh.
214 Reply- +1 y
That's a lot of studying but at least you will be book smart as well when you up there with your goals lol
- +1 y
I know I'm wasting a loads of time here, because what am I supposed to do with trigonometry when I barely know anything about using DAW and I want to be a musician in future. When I barely made any contact with publishing companies for my writing. This is really messed up, a life of any Asian student. But anyways, it's good to be all rounder so why not? Lol. It's good to be that cousin whom every mom points out and tells their kids about lol.
- +1 y
Not really cause if you get a good job, you'll make good money, good money can get you the best quality instruments and equipment to get you started so my point is that it will actually help you throughout the journey if getting to that goal, you might not need it once you get there but it's a long journey.

The thing is, I don't want a job. I don't wanna do business either. I don't wanna do anything else but being therapist has been on my mind for sometime. I'm thinking of going abroad for college after high school diploma and do majors in psychology. Because at the end, I need a stable earning source. Music and writing are not a regular source of income unless you're famous in a celebrity level. But honestly, after sophomore year I'll annoy my dad like hell till he finally deals with some publication. When I earn some money for my book I will pay back their investments and arrange for my future music plans. And after getting a high school diploma I'll say no to my parents for joining the business and signing some contract as the heir to their business unless they allow me to record my song in a studio and release my first album in sound clouds. This is business lol.
But as a student, is trigonometry and all the algebra you did in high school really used in real life applications? I have never seen my parents counting finances or stocks in algebraic form lol. - +1 y
Well it's why I jumped out that system but depending on the job you apply for, yes it might come in handy, that's why they teach it after all but I guess you do what you gotta do to reach your goals 🤣
- +1 y
Yeah, the useful knowledge is taught when you choose certain stream, mostly in college. That's when you're taught something you would really need for your career. But I gotta say, only geometry is pretty useful in maths. I don't see any use of many chapters which they teach so religiously in school, they should teach financial maths or commerce which would be way more beneficial than tRiGoNoMeTrY. But I guess they are just IQ booster kind of things, they make yo smart and confident for sure and teach you self discipline because a notorious kid who doesn't have self discipline can't excel those chapters.
- +1 y
Schools only prepare people to work for others, that's why barely anything useful is taught in schools, they fill your head up with this worker mentality and that's how you enter the real world, looking for a job and staying at that job for as long as you can, it's why it's good you are expressing and following you creativity as well, don't be one of these robots 😂
But being knowledgeable about these things isn't necessarily a bad thing tho - +1 y
Yeah a good thing, education isn't bad but the current schooling system isn't necessarily educating us, they're training us to work for others. But I am glad they give importance to other things in my school as well but still, academics is always prayed religiously. I don't know how those book worm kids survive feeding only on course books and nothing else. That's why I don't want a job, I want to make my own seat and stand up on my own instead of having a well paid job. I prefer being the head of cat rather than being tail of lion.
- +1 y
Same here but I've come to realize the hard way that in order to start building that empire, you need materials, can't get that empire without a source of materials, in this comparison the materials is money lol
- +1 y
One can still become billionaire with useful education. We have examples of billionaires who were school drop outs. Bill gates is one of them.
- +1 y
Yea I know and there's others as well lol

You can learn how to use DAW's fairly easily. Then over time learning all of the ins and out will become second nature I use Logic Pro mostly.

When I started hanging out with people for the first time in college. I was never allowed to hangout or go out as a kid because my mom was overprotective and I am an only child. But I didn’t know how good it feels to hangout with people and goof around. But my social anxiety gets the best of me sometimes and would have to use a lame ass excuse as to why I can’t hangout because I’m too nervous. Do introverts relate to this aswell?

I'll tell a little story. One of Australia's wealthier men came from Perth, a small capital city of Western Australia state (we have states too but only six). He was asked how did he make his money?
He said "In Perth there are fewer people to tell you why you can't do something".

Opinion Owner+1 yyes, this was when i was in my mid 20's. i'm better off now but still not 100% a social butterfly. like at all. introverted. i'll never be fully "normal" like the others because i still have shy tendencies, just fake it till you make it

17 Reply- +1 y
That rude part is where I'm still struggling at, I don't mean to be rude but it doesn't mean it doesn't sound like that
- +1 y
Tbh my biggest practice was reading my own texts before sending them, first I would remove the parts where I'd sound like I'm sugarcoating, then I'd change the words that sound very direct.
I however fall on the other end of the spectrum, I still tend to try to please people occasionally which sucks... - +1 y

It was okay because I learned to sight read when I was taking classical guitar piano lessons. I also wasn't singing the lead lines. That would have been hard since I really do not listen to modern pop music.
