In places without sheep what do you count to fall asleep?

In the UK when you can't sleep you're told to try counting sheep. It's usually visualised as sheep leaping over a hedge and you count one sheep, two sheep, three sheep until you fall asleep.

But in other places where sheep aren't commonplace, what do they count?

Yeah, I count them, but I only count the lesbian sheep.

Is my sheep a lesbian?

It is not the greatest strategy. While most sheep are indeed lesbian as we know, when you come across the rare one that is not lesbian, it really messes up my rhythm. I liken it to being jolted out of my sleep with that all too familiar feeling of falling.

While we don't have sheep here in the city, we have plenty of lesbians, naturally. So, when I fail at visualising sheep, I just imagine lesbians hopping over a hedge headed to a pool party or something.

The only issue I have is that it confuses me and makes me question my sexuality. 😞
