Yes I am, here are three scary clowns and a short horror story based on each one:


1. The Laughing Lunatic: The Laughing Lunatic was a clown who used to perform at a circus in the 1940s. But after a tragic accident during one of his performances, he went insane. Now, he roams the streets, cackling maniacally and brandishing a rusted machete. People say that if you hear his laughter, you're already dead. But what scares people the most about The Laughing Lunatic is the unpredictability of his attacks. He strikes without warning, leaving no one safe.


2. Bloody Grin: Bloody Grin is a clown who was rumored to have been possessed by a demon. He appears at night in abandoned carnival parks and playgrounds, stalking his victims with a sinister smile on his face. People say that if you catch a glimpse of his blood-stained teeth, you will be cursed forever. The thing that makes Bloody Grin so terrifying is his adamant refusal to ever stop hunting. No matter what his prey do to hide, he always manages to find them.


3. The Enigma of Scar: The Enigma of Scar is a clown that no one knows much about. He appeared suddenly, touring with a small circus in South America. People at first thought he was the highlight of the show because of his strange and surreal performances. But things started changing when they noticed his scarred face began to change with every performance. They say it's a new face that he takes after each kill. No one can predict what his next face will be. The fear of the unknown is what makes him truly terrifying.


And there you have it. Three clowns to give you goosebumps. 😨

Nope. But I totally understand how it would cause a fear to not know what’s hiding beneath the smiling face. We have evolved to sense some body language, facial expression clues to know if someone is a friend or enemy, if you can’t see who that person is - I can see how it would cause an awful discomfort.

However, I generally think under that smiling face, there’s a sad man who would rather be home and watch TV than entertain me. And that contrast, which I certainly know exists - makes me less interested in clowns, because they cause sadness in me, knowing a person has to put up with carrying a smiling face to entertain other people. That’s not something I like. I think people who get entertained by that are more scary, than the clown itself.

They did always creep me out. I think as a boy, I got pedo vibes from them even though I didn't know what it was. Same with those people wearing costumes like Mickey Mouse costume at Disney Land. Anyone in a costume trying to appeal to kids just genuinely creeped me out, even those old guys in Santa Claus costumes asking us what we want for Christmas presents. I think as a boy, I could kind of read through all these things.

I find them mildly disturbing, but I wouldn't say I'm afraid of them. But I definitely know some people in real life who are. Steven King's "It" certainly didn't help.

Many people are clowns who specifically provide humor and comfort for kids. One woman clown I met years ago went to events for families of children with cancer. She had a parrot that went with her and the kids loved them. She was never scary. And there was a male clown who often was at these kind of events and got along great with all the kids and their families.

And I used to work at a kindergarten with the child of the actor Bill Skarsgård that plays the clown in IT and I would meet him daily.. It was scary. I always told myself if he ever made that face I'm running😂

His child liked me so we talked more..

Update:
I think my reason of being scared of clowns is because they look like living dolls.. im also scared of dolls. I dont like anything that looks like it should be living but isn't or living dressed an an object it freaks me out just writing this😣

Lots of my friends are scared of clowns which I never understood.. its like its fucking clown they are supposed to make you laugh😅

I haven't liked clowns since I was a kid at the fair. A clown asked my mom for a kiss on the cheek and when she went to do this he turned and kissed her on the lips. Hated clowns ever since. It also didn't help their cause.
