If your loved one tells you to run do you fight to the "assured" death with them or take their dying gift and live for both of you?

If you have time to say that then both of you could run TBH. It isn't something I worry about so much, as when I go to cities I'm carrying a gun with spare magazines, and if it's a high crime area a bulletproof vest with a back-up weapon as well.

Just start laying down hate and discontent, my wife carries too, so it would take people moving as a fire team with suppressive fire to worry about something like that, and running wouldn't really help. Maybe a grenade or something.

that dream was a long time ago. I stood by the dream when I woke up.
now my kids are grown and we’re divorcing. I’d desperately try to save her if I could AFTER our kids were safe.

If I had an opportunity to save the life of my girlfriend or wife, I'd want her to survive and find someone new to love her just as much as I did, and make her happy.

I would hope if it were reversed, she would want me to live and find a new happiness as well.

i have already mentally prepared myself to die for someone i haven't even met yet lol

i know it 100% that id look at death in the face while i tell her to run off, im not scared of death and i surely wouldn't be scared of it to assure the safety of a lover, if i know im fucked im making the final 2 actions being my last final prayer and looking back to make sure my lover is out of my sight, it is what it is.
