Do you believe in the evil eye?

The evil eye is a glare that someone gives to someone they are envious of and it brings misfortune to them. I never really believed in the evil eye but I think I may have experienced it for myself. I’ve had my belly putting pierced almost 2 years now. Yesterday I was getting a Brazilian wax with a “friend” and as I was laying there age said “you still have your belly button pierced, I didn’t think you’d still have it, I want mine done” and the next thing you know I wake up this morning and my piercing completely rejected after being fine for almost 2 years.

I believe it's a coincidence if that stuff happens, and I did hear about the evil eye, my late elderly friend was Italian and someone said that to her about the evil eye but at the time I was young and didn't really take much into it.
