When anyone can claim anything on the internet do you truly believe that online "friendships" / "relationships" are real? ?

I personally don't. But then I've friends in real life, not on the internet. And personally when anyone can claim anything on the internet I don't necessarily see online as real.

Online is just people with the same hobbies - like people gathering to play RC airplanes in a field & go their own way afterwards - but I'd not necessarily call that a friendship.

It’s as real as they allow it to be. Personally, I only do relationships in real but don’t mind online friendships. Friendship is where that ends though.
