Our water is pretty hard untreated, but I have a water softener to deal with that, and a 5-stage filter for drinking water on top of that. My last house didn't have a softener, and faucets and things would get heavy scale pretty quickly, requiring lots of CLR and scrubbing to get things clean.

@Apple1996 careful with that tap water... lol

I live in a hard water state when we had our own water well. We had a water softener It was so soft sometimes you couldn’t even tell when the soap is coming off of your hand people would say house guest
Hard water. My water softener is set to treat 11 grains.
Relatively hard. The terry towels get scratchy over time if you don't use fabric softener.
I dry towels etc 95% over a line, so I can't confirm that would help them getting softer...
It's hard water here. The water leaves lots of hard water stains.
I'm soft right now, but I was harder earlier, and I usually get hard from your posts and Literotica stories.
I've got hard water with high magnesium, pfoa and pfos contaminants in my well water. We don't drink or cook with it
It varies...
and now I proceed to the howdoilook section :)
Actually... I never wondered, and I never cared. Things sometimes just are the way they are?
The water where I live is stupid hard, but that's partially because I live in farmville and a lot of the contamination comes from erosion of the farms.
Well, organic stuff is somewhat different from dissolved minerals, but yah, some ag areas, especially irrigated ones, tend to have that harder water.
The water from my well is very hard, but I soften all interior piped water with potassium chloride. The softener makes a huge difference.
Where I live the water comes out of the tap in lumps.
FYI: I live in the bright purple area to the right of the River Severn. Now you know where I live, don't come round my house.
In Kansas we have hard water unless we put a water softener for domestic water in our homes.
I live in a "hard water" area of the USA. I get it. :D
My well water is on the soft side. But not to far from me. The water has so much iron in it. That it turns blonde hair orange and really messes up the bath tub and faucets!
The nearest significant water is a river. I think the Missour is close at a point, but the Mississippi is the big one.
Hard water where I live so I put in a water softener which mad a huge difference in everything that uses water.
Slightly hard usually, but have properly hard about twice a week
It looks like I live in a slightly hard water area.
Hard, we live on well water and we have to use water softener.
It is relatively soft.
